Dear All,

We are Flea freak the organizers,

We read this forum and had taken note of each and everyone comment.

Would like to take this opportunity to clarify e issue:

1.)I reckon most of your who are speaking here in this forum, joined this event thru Ament Organizers.
a) We read e email that sent by Ament through one of his/her vendor that crowd level was confirmed in Bold Red.
This statement was not committed by Flea freak.
We DID NOT mention any points of confirmed crowd through any means.

Our circulation of email mainly state e date, venue and a simple registration form.

2.)Flyers
some vendors did reply us e publicity for this event, we did mentioned that e 2 days coincide the school holidays and we also did mentioned e flyers will be distributed within the vinicty which we did performed.

3.)Organizer MIA
As we have few events running at e same time, each event will be allocated with a person in charge, as a point of contact should there be any issue that arise in this event.
Moreover our colleague was introduced to every one of you before we take our leave.

We had contacted e agent 2 days back due to one of the vendor given feedback,
But we had failed to receive any form of reply through email or phone till date, pertaining to e misleading information.
We shared the same level of disappointment with this agent as they have mislead our pull of vendors into thinking that we did not honor what we had committed.

We hope that the agent should give you’ll a reasonable reply.

We hereby will not wish to work with Ament for any of our event, should they not give Fleafreak a satisfactory explanation.

We hope that we had clarify all the above.

Thank you Fleafreak

I own a retail shop and have quite a lot of old stock to get rid off .2 years ago I rented a space in cineleisure for 3 days and the organizer collected one day rental as deposit from me only Sales was so bad 2nd day I quitted is so hot under the tent is unbearable. The other vendors was doing quite well selling accessories and the organizer himself was selling T-shirts and very cheap apparel.
I negotiated with the organizer not to charge me for the remaining 2 days and he said no.So I said to him if you want the money come to my shop to collect until now after 2 years he did not come and collect the money.
I am quite lucky in a way.

Hi all,

I've read all the of your entries and have had similar experience before. I believe you guys have signed up with Intrepid. Organisers such as this one will definately paint a very good picture of the location. They even take pictures of the past events with angles to make the whole place crowded. I was at Safra @ mt. faber before and Intrepid did mention about confirmed crowds but in the end it was very disappointing. Anyway, it's pointless to fault the organiser in such a case as you are the willing party who fall for it. So take it as a $120 lesson. It's so crazy to bring the organiser to court or something over such things. They are not liable.

one pointer to note is.. never believe the photos that the organisers post. try to search online the event photos that bloggers took; or better still, go to the event yourself, to determine the crowd.

as for me, sculpture square painted quite a bad picture to me in terms of crowd. but surprisingly i did quite good sales at the weekend! art & craft bazaar. when i asked my customers, most were passerbys who have children having classes nearby / went to church nearby. only one or two came cos of the publicity

Hi,

why do you say that the organiser is not liable?? Is it from any legal point of view?? To make small claim is very cheap.. only SGD10.00 per case if your claim is less than 5k.. They are conning people into renting their stall.. surely that can be reported..

Oh.. And I sign up with Ament.. They disappeared into thin air after fleafreak exposed them... If they think that they are not in the wrong.. they should be like fleafreak come out and clear doubts about them... Prove that they did not mislead their vendors

Hi,

I think the best thing to do is to forget about the whole thing,
laugh it off and don't go with the event organizer again...

sometimes, the effort to pursue the matter is not worth it...
it is better to focus on doing sales or more personal marketing...
just my two cents' worth...

hmmm... they did say two's company and three's a crowd,
so technically, if there are 3 passerbys, it's a crowd
