![]() One way is to leave comments in blogs and forums. Usually you will need to leave your site address & nick in order to post. Your nick will be the hot link to your site. But note that it will be better to leave constructive comments or something relevant to the topic, try not to blatantly advertise your site which most people frowns upon.

![]() be careful some forums do not even allow indirect advertisement. like leaving your link/site at your signature, etc. so, do read their rules first!

![]() Yes, I do agree on that. But it is good to hang around so that you become a familiar nick in the forum. Some forums have attached chat rooms, people will ask details about you, that's when you can drop some bits about your business.
Re. website. I think besides the various tips offered above by some members, I think size of the photos also matters. Not so small that customers cannot see the details of the products but not so big that it takes minintes to load! I lose my patience if the pg take more than few secs to load ![]() |

![]() Hi everyone,
I have a blogshop myself and I am still learning how to increase sales. I added a stats counter and the results is that i do have traffic. The problem is I am having very little sales, therefore, i think there might be a problem with my website, prices or products. Would fellow veterans like FF Fashion please do a review and help me improve? Thanks |

![]() some comments may sound harsh, some comments may be opinionated, so take all comments with a pinch of salt ya... when bloggers asked for comments, my comments are given more from a customer perspective because I dont own any online shop.
1. background of dull poka dots.... Nothing seductive at all. Perhaps your "Panther Seductions" is not meant to be taken in that way but some customers may think along that line, so end results is disappointment before they even start shopping..... at least that's the case for me. Beef up the backdrop. Can try more fun and bright colors or if you are going along the line of 'class and sophistication", use more classy backdrop then. 2. overwhelming request - if it is an overwhelming request, then bold it, highlight it, and it stands out, get people's attention.... chunks and chunks of words will only turn customers away.... a pic speaks a thousand words... 3. Items left out - No need to highlight in words products that are left out, find other ways to showcase your apparels. Anything that's negative, if you really need to bring it across, do so in a positive/neutral way. 4. Price adjustment - Enough that you yourself know about customers' complaint re high prices, dont mention in your blog, adjust downward accordingly and find other means to bring the lowered price to customers' attention for eg. juz bring on a sale or some promotion and going forward, go with the new price range.... As a customer, when I see this message, I get a bit worried and I will become wary of your products and prices even when it is something within my buying power. Human nature. 5. Ultimate goal - I suppose it's the structure of the blog, earlier entries get archived or put it in another way, new entries sit right at the top. But I think you ultimate goal is fairly important.... this should preferably be kept at the top or front page of your blog because you want to let customers know what they are going into/for.... A bit like a mission/value statement... 6. Purchase method - you have 2 ways to order. Keep it simple. Ok to have various ways of payment but when it comes to ordering, really 1 is enough liao. This will also ensure that you will not miss any post/comments. But hor, when I click on that 'how to order" page. Actually that flowchart is blur and doesn't help, only serves to scare away customers. I didn't even bother to look at it, seems complicated to me so first thought is "ah.. .forget it" 7. Product category - Didn't think those will be considered formal wear but nevertheless my suggestion is to cut down the number categories for the time being. If people are already missing out some of your products, having more categories will simply means more products will be missed out... 8. Traffic hits - Are you targetting the right audience? Having hits doesn't mean that anything, who are the ones viewing your websites? Go back one more step, where did you market/promote your website? This seems to be a problem for most online sellers, take a while to build up your presence in the internet world. 9. Products - My suggestion is you do a poll in this forum (ie tab on fellow forummers' fashion taste/sense/thoughts) or do a quick survey among your own friends and relatives to find out what people think about your choice of bags and apparels ie would they buy and what kind of price range are they willing to pay for online purchases. In fact this should probably be done before you embark on building your blog. that's all from me ![]() |
