Advertise through friends, forums, classifieds and yahoo groups. Include a link to your website whenever you send out emails. Get hold of your customers' emails and create a mailing list of regular customers. Make it a point to email your customers and get your customers to help forward your website to their friends.

Hi Peggy,

Online selling is never easy and sometimes it depends on luck as well. At least you have the traffic (pageviews), some don't even have that kind of luxury and end up spending $ doing advertising. Some lucky ones have local magazines borrowing their products and end up with free advertisements.

There can be a lot of reasons behind your "many pageviews little sales". Let me go into your blog now and see if I can help further improve your website with my 2 cents worth!

Good Luck!

Hi dear, juz saw your posting asking for my comments on your blog. Sori for the late reply. Haven't got time to read the forum in details recently, only got time to update my pics in the bizub-wholesale supplier section.

okie, here we go.... if you don't like what I write, no hard feelings ya....(but you can scold me since I can't hear you )

1. Shopname - Took me a while to find your shopname. I know it's in the URL but in my opinion, you need to make it more prominent in your blog, specifically the banner. That's the way customers gonna remember you. Advertising through word-of-mouth is effective but do you want customers to remember you as "JustGift" or "Pet Trees".

2. Pet Tree - This seems to be your key product. If so, make the banner clearer. Those individual pics of pet trees look good. Is it possible to have the pics of pet trees on 1 page for easier comparisons. I was viewing PT02 Cross Catcus, by the time I reach PT05, I can't remember what PT02 looks like! If putting them side by side will make the pics smaller, then consider a zoom in function if that's possible in blogger...

3. Format - How about having different sections, one for pet trees, one for house decor, one for computer & stuff (or whatever you call them). I can see that you are updating by dates. But if you are selling gifts, then as a shopper, I would prefer to search by gift category. If those modems and stuff happens to be just extras & non related to JustGifts, may be you can group them under "Misc", "Other barangs barangs" or the like. If you want to bring your customers' attention to your latest products, you can always have a "New arrival' section.

4. About me - Hey, you should be proud of your blog. Try to beef up your "About me" section. If not, remove that, it doesn't tell me anything useful. I'm here looking for gifts, not accountant...

5. Font color - Take note of the color you use. For eg, refer to your foldable vase updates. you said "Bulk Purchase Welcome"... it's in black but I can hardly read it. Too many colors can be confusing.... can consider standardizing the colors use meaning use red for prices, green for header, etc.

6. cbox - I see some interesting comments from customers. Good stuff. But I see a ICCY posting a link up. Guess what? I have almost forgotten that I'm supposed to view and comment on your blog, I wanted to go into ICCY's blog because ICCY says everything under $30... sounds attractive... you see, this is the danger of having a cbox. See if you can do anything about those link ups. Perhaps a separate section dedicated to exchange of links? (Sorry, I'm juz thinking and jotting down whatever comes to mind without giving much thought to the possibility of implementing them in blogger)...

7. Order information - I can only see a contact for bulk purchase. Yeah, make this big and clear too. Seems like you don't have any section on Order/Payment/Delivery Instructions or did I miss it out... (Struggling to open my eyes...)...

okie, that's all for tonite... if I can think of anything else I'll pm you. Nite nite!

By the way, well done & keep it up! Interesting products you have!

Hi dear, if you have viewers and no buyers, I am juz wondering if your viewers are your target audience afterall. Ask yourself where do you advertise/market your website? Are your products unique, not something mummies n daddies can easily buy from outside. Are prices reasonable considering yours is an online store with minimal operating expenses?

You may also want to consider getting some kids to model the hairclips for you when you take the pics. Always easier for customers to visualize them. On hello kitty, am not sure if there's an infringement of trademark, so do be careful when you sell such products, even if they are juz hairclips.

This is a website selling kids' stuff..... the background of poka dots are really boring, liven up with brighter wallpapers please.

And I was thinking this is another website selling hair accessories until I scroll down.... Imagine if people are not interested in hair accessories for their girls, they will have left your website in less than 1 min. Hey but you have diaper cakes, baby hampers and baby gifts! Why not bring them to the top! No offence but I was wondering if those baby gifts are in fact extra gifts which you receive and did not use them, because the range is so limited... only baby girls clothes and only size 6/9 mths and the other one 12mths If you want to create a website that caters to kids' stuff then be prepared to invest and carry a proper range of products, otherwise... ya.... you get viewers but no buyers

Here are my comments. No offence yah?

1. Your pics are not clear enough. Invest in a good camera.
2. Sometimes it's not juz the product itself, the background is important. Taking the pic against a notebook will not do. (check out "bag of love", I like the way they have taken their photos, sharp, clear and good choice of background. They are one of those whose products get featured in local magazines)
3. Limited choice.
4. Price is a little too high considering yours is online where minimal operating cost is involved. If the cost of goods is high, then you definitely have to consider repackaging your products to show their worth/value, otherwise think about how you can lower your base cost to rreduce your selling price.
