We will be organising a short term concept store at Orchard Central Shopping Mall from Sept-Dec 2013. This will give selected group of vendors the opportunity to showcase their products inside a shopping mall along Orchard Road for the entire period of 4 months.
For vendors who have been participating in bazaars and flea markets for many years, this will give you a great opportunity to learn as well as to gain experience in retailing inside a shopping mall for a period of 4 months. This is a full time retail concept and not just a regular weekend market.
We understand that there are a lot of vendors who have been in the bazaar market for many years are afraid to make the leap of faith as they believe that it is too risky to own a retail shop as you will have to pay for renovation fees, high security deposit (usually 3 months) as well as the high rental cost. If sales is not good, you will have to bear with the losses for the entire contract period or risk being sued by the management.
This concept store at Orchard Central is only 4 months plus it is gearing up for the Christmas Season. As you know, the tourist rate along Orchard Road is extremely high during the end of the year season and this will definately give you a chance to make some extra money as well as to gain much experience.
We would like to extend this invitation to selected group of vendors who have unique products as well as have not tried doing retailing in a shopping mall full time. Pls email to us your product pictures when you are enquiring on the concept store.
