How to Attract Traffic to Your Blog in Blogspot?
 

Hi,

I've set up an online blogshop thru blogspot. However, I dun seem to be getting much traffic as described by many people who state that starting blogshop is a good way to start up. So are there any settings in blogs that I've set wrongly??

1. Get a domain name. A free site has millions of hosted pages. Search engine won't be able to comple indexing all pages. Most likely, your site will only be indexed after years.

2. Submit to free directories. Getting into dmoz n yahoo directory will be a great benefit since many free directories are getting feed from them.

3. Design your site in a flow for bots/spiders to follow indexing all your pages easier.

4. Download webceo to optimize your site. It is also a good tool to monitor your ranking.

5. Spend more times reading seo forum/site. There is no 100% answer to get ur site indexed higher on organic search, but it will be a good experience and after 1-2 years u will have a good understanding.

Short tips...

1. Let as many people as possible in your network know about your blog.

2. Create as many linkbacks as possible by participating in forums and commenting on other blogs. But do remember that your posts need to carry substance. Otherwise it's just spam.

3. Work on SEO. Keywords and strategies are important factors that will help drive traffic.

4. Buy Google adwords. These are quite affordable.

For blogshop there is little you can do for onsite SEO due to limitation , however u can do is doing backlink either yourself or outsource to others to do so u can achieve good google ranking via organic ranking. A backline to your site is like a vote so get as many as possible, ultimately if u have a viable business that you think u are able to go it get a ecommerce website so u can do both onsite and offsite SEO. my 2 cents

It's better to get 1 backlink from authority & related sites than 100 PR0 unrelated content backlinks.

It depends on your keywords competitiveness. Some may go up to $2-4 dollars without proper optimization & good landing page.

open a blogshop in blogspot maybe difficult for you because you need to install the shopping card on your own and you need to design on your own.
Why not you get a hosting that provide you a free software of shoping cart and wordpress. Wordpress 3.1 is the most famous blog platform in the world. What we can see that lot of online business is done with wordpress with fabulous shopping cart plug in and lot of ready template for you to use. And most important is you gonna have your own domain name.
