Share some useful tips nowadays,

1. Post useful & unique content
2. Share you post to Google+, Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin and etc
3. Submit it to some good bookmark site: Delicious, Stumbleupon, Pinterest
4. Find the a good seo services company help you improving your business.

The first 3 techniques you recommended will only work if you already have an existing subscriber base of at least 1000 followers. If it is a brand new blog with no visitors/subscribers, very hard to get traffic unless you make friends with influential and authority blogs in your niche who are willing to backlink to you to help you gain visitors and subscribers fast. But more often than not, they will ignore you since you are a nobody to them.

Looks like the 4th method is the only viable option but it costs money which is very painful for a new blog.
