why do you say that the organiser is not liable?? Is it from any legal point of view?? To make small claim is very cheap.. only SGD10.00 per case if your claim is less than 5k.. They are conning people into renting their stall.. surely that can be reported..

Oh.. And I sign up with Ament.. They disappeared into thin air after fleafreak exposed them... If they think that they are not in the wrong.. they should be like fleafreak come out and clear doubts about them... Prove that they did not mislead their vendors

:coffee:

I understand your concern. If you don't report them, the rest of the poeple may suffer the same injustice as you. The thing is if you look closely to the contract that you signed, all the Ts & Cs are to their favour. To bring such matters to light requires time, energy and sometimes money is involved. It's wiser just to take this as a lesson to avoid the same thing from happening. To channel your energy to such a complain isn't gonna bring you anywhere.

Cheers

Hi,

Not very bad. Just that I don't think they have generate enough publicity for the events they organise. Having said that, they may have done some improvements since the last time I joined them. I'm not sure. Just don't trust them fully as in the things they promise and the pictures they took.

I totally agree with you! :D

laugh it off and don't go with the event organizer again...

sometimes, the effort to pursue the matter is not worth it...
it is better to focus on doing sales or more personal marketing...
just my two cents' worth...

hmmm... they did say two's company and three's a crowd,
so technically, if there are 3 passerbys, it's a crowd :laff:

Totally totally agree!:applause:

I was at mount faber last weekend. I was selling some manicure products and tea tasting... Agreed that sales was really slow on the 1st day and every vendors was just walking and chit-chatting... But sales did pick up on the 2nd day and i still managed to cover one day rental.. still have losses though.. I do agree that the crowds were mainly parents bringing kids for classes and crowds were streaming in very slowly..

What an experience i got for the 1st time!!!

Jermaine, Please clear your PMs so that I can send you emails.

Wow, never expected there will be such a complain forum ongoing!
My experience recently was very bad also!
So much so that I want to organise myself!
1) i ALWAYS feel that organisers never bother to vet the vendors, got money just take!
2) The crowd is unpredictable but I think the organisers Should do more publicity.
3) I sell Handicrafts, you put me into the middle of 2 tables selling used clothes! no choosing of spaces but you should at least organise the booths! you asked for what we were selling for that reason right?
4) Organisers come out with rules " no putting of stuff in walkways" end up the 2 stalls used clothes were EVERYWHERE!
5) Organisers were there only for 1 hour? or 2? then MIA the rest of the time!

This was from the weekends! bazaar at scape youth park near Christmas 2009. I sold NOTHING. quite shocking as usually it's not that bad.
I'll be organizing my own soon. sigh.

Bazaar Indulgence last minute cancelled the bazaar suppose to be on 23rd and 24th January than change to 16th and 17th.Today they send me email notify me that Far East Organisation does not want to lease to them.
I bought quite a lot of stock to sell in the bazaar hoping can make some money there, now I am stuck with alot of stock.

Bazaar indulgence offer few other venues but I am not interested if they insist me to taking up other venues and refuse to refund money to me I will take action against them. They advertise event space to rent and collect money without securing a place for vendors.I invested quite a lot of money on my stock hoping the bazaar can catch Far East Plaza shoppers,2 days before the event they said no go.

Re: Need Help - Bazaar Rental Dispute

Hi,
Anybody take up stall in Far East plaza organise by bazaar indulgence 24th /25th Jan 2010 later change the date to16th /17th Jan? Two days before the bazaar starts it was cancel reason given by organiser was Far East organization refused to lease the place to them.
Why they did not secure the place before collecting money from the public.

I Wrote 2 emails to them asking them to refund the money they said they will refund money latest by Monday until now I do not see a refund.

I wrote to them if still they do not make a refund I will go to the police,no reply from them.
I am angry with them because they are not reliable, I spent thousand over dollars buying stock to sell in the bazaar now got stuck with alot of clothing. They taking their own sweet time to refund my money or maybe do not intend to do refund hoping I will take up other venues that I am not interested.
Anybody in the same boat with me?

Re: Need Help - Bazaar Rental Dispute

I heard about bazaar indulgence. They organise a bazaar at Toa Payoh Safra on 16 n 17 Jan 10... I heard they squeeze abt 30 vendors in the small lobby in safra. The smaller one with the customer service counter and a sports shop. It was hot and stuffy, very cramp in there....
