I hv made a police report against the company Ideal Solutions as well as Cabin Sng. I hope the rest of the vendors would do that too! We do not tolerate such acts here in Singapore!

Yes, you should go to small claims tribunal. Cabin also owes us (Fleamonster) money for the booth that we have paid them. We will also be filing a small claim tribunal against him should he fail to answer our calls. His line is now engaged/switched off.
For those that have booked via us, the money has been refunded as we are a highly reputable company. We have undertaken to take the responsibility. You will also get a 50% discount on future booth with us at our regular events. Thanks, Fleamonster |

Re: Be Careful ! Singapore Fashion Expo (14-16 June 2013)
I m really sad to hear the latest news. I wish I could have done more to alert vendors here. Anyway.....for your info, for any organiser to book a hall at Expo, he will have to pay a deposit of 40% upon confirmation and he will have to pay the balance at least one month before the event is supposed to commence.
Sometimes, the Expo management might allow the organiser to pay the balance within 3 weeks of the event. In summary, the organiser might have tried his best to get the balance 60% of the money but I guess he could not get enough vendors to cover the 60% and thus did not pay the Expo Management. What I hate to think of is that the Expo Management has in fact cancelled his event 1 week ago. There is no way that the Management knew who are the vendors of the event itself. If I'm not mistaken, I heard that Cabin or his staff was still distributing brochures of the event just last weekend around Orchard Area. If Expo management has in fact cancelled his event more than 1 week ago, he is practically doing something really wrong here. My advice for all fellow vendors here is to lodge a police report and submit a claim to small claims. That's your best chance and keep chasing him for the refund. I am quite sure that he will not be able to refund your rental by Monday. If he had money in the first place, he would have paid Expo Management. I hope this serves as a lesson to all of us and let's keep this thread updated so that we know who has been refunded and find a ways to help one another. |

I feel Singapore police force should look into this matters.. For vendors like us it is better to sign up the usual organsier.. If a person who appeared to be the organsier but he is not, who dare to do bazaars? Who want their money to be cheated? Sigh.. He really have the heart to take our vendor hard earned money!!
