![]() Have been considering OC bazaar too but after reading this post and checking the place personally on this Tues lunch time, doesn't seem very encouraging imo. The booths concept do look good but the location @B2 does not have much sales potential as the traffic there is rather pathetic i must say. Only people who use the linkway to centrepoint or dine at restuarants there will head down to B2 & probably check out the bazaar on the way. Agree with Urbanboy that more visibility can be done to drive traffic to B3 bazaar otw the public will not know there's a bazaar there unless you're in the loop on bazaar schedules around SG. The traffic n visibility cannot be compared what the push-carts have on OC level1.
Understand the frustration that Urbanboy encountered and i do agree that there's certain level of unfairness on the issue which could be mediated and handled at a much more professional level. Well as vendors, we just have to learn from experience and move forward since what has happened can't be changed and sharing your experience here will help shed some light to others & it's up to the individuals to make their own assessment. just my 2 cents worth ![]() Quote:

![]() Xaviera, in the first place your comparison is wrong. You are comparing between an event space organiser to a flea market / bazaar organiser. You should compare bazaar organiser to another bazaar organiser. Let me enlighten you:
Urban events - they advertise at blogshopasia, have standing posters at the venue. T Cartel - advertise at newspaper and have standing banner Forfleasake - have poster at surrounding area during event SPOC solution (Singapore River Market) - have posters and marketing materials. Ape Works - have large posters and have staffs giving out brochure to public on the event itself. Flea Bazaar- at least standing poster and EDM to huge database From what I have read throughout this posting, the current organiser at Orchard Central have NOTHING related to publicity unless you can enlighten us ![]() |

![]() Didn't expect my simple enquiry ended up being one of the most talked about post. After reading everyone's post, I guess I will give this place a miss for the moment. There is still other organisers and venues to go at the current time.

1st you need to see the locations.. Each different organiser will need to seek approval whether can any advertisements can be put up at the locations.. Thank you for your information as I am not the organiser but a vendor at Orchard Central.. My main aim is to sell my items at OC and I am happy with whatever I have at Orchard Central.. If you are not happy or whatsoever thing you may contact whoever in charge to answer your questions or why not you can also become an organiser as to feel it by yourself.. Quote:

![]() I have mention previously, this is not the first time that I am a vendor at Orchard Central. The other 2 previous organisers at Orchard Central had hire part timers to hand out brochures outside the mall. They also had Posters at the entrance of Orchard Central. The BIG problem with Eventsmoment/Max Diva is they DON"T bother or make effort to do any publicity at all !
Your last post on the publicity inside Orchard Central Main Website is a complete JOKE ! How many people actually go inside the Orchard Central website to find out whether there are any events there? Xaviera, you do not need to keep defending the organiser. If they are wrong, they should admit it, apologize and move on. They did not even apologise in the first place. That is their biggest problem. They are also NOT honest at all....creating a new nick "lebeautiecorner" to praise themselves......utterly amateur. Organiser creating a new nick and pretend to be a vendor... |

![]() Urbanboy,you have your own unhappy reasons with whosoever person but I am not trying to defend anyone at all.. I am just based on what and how I feel about bazzar at OC.. This is your personal feud between you and whosoever..Why you need to let the whole world know and yet you know the reason why you cant sell your apparels at OC??They already told you but yet you said you are not given an ans.. I am so confused what you are trying to say.. At the 1st place you know or you dont know whether why you cant sell your apparels 1st or not??

In order to run bazzars by other organisers,as a vendor we only can listen to what the organisers have to say in order to stay alive in this bazzars world.. We as a vendors is to earn $$,not to create any problems for yourself and the organiser.. Since you are so unhappy,why not you learn how to forgive and forget and contact the person above the organiser and see what he/she have to say?Then you will feel that you will not be so angry.. I encourage you to call as you will for sure know the answer and I will be patiently waiting for your answers to be appear here in this forums..

Firstly, let me official introduce myself. I am Jack Liew, organizer for Orchard Central right before Event moment. Urbanboy and some regular vendors will know me. As for publicity for orchard central, I choose the way of giving free popcorn or candy floss for shoppers to attract their attention to the mall. I had my regular vendors to do social marketing for weekend market @ orchard central. I would say, different organizer use different ways of approach for their marketing. There is no perfect ways, but if a way that had proven it works. I will stick to it. Apparently most of my vendors that work closely with me, enjoy working with me over the period that I am the bazaar organizer for orchard central. Secondly, thanks JackL7 for imposing me to post whatever you are posting here. I would love if you use your own identity to post such comment on forum. I would not denied on whatever is being told in this thread as everyone have the freedom of speech and opinion on "Internet". Thirdly, please do give the current organizer, be it event moment or any other organizer that are organizing bazaar at orchard central a chance and support as it is not easy task to organize a bazaar in Orchard Central. The crowd is pretty bad that's why I lower my rental so my vendors are able to break even and earn some profit after that. When I took over orchard central, a lot of my regular vendors do not wish to attend as the crowd is extremely bad. But after awhile, vendors start coming in and result proven. In order to drive crowds into a shopping mall, we definitely need helps from both management and existing tenants/vendors to work things out. Lastly, I am going to look into this matter seriously. If JLiew7 still using my identity to post again, I will not hesitate to take any LEGAL ACTIONS against the person. Please do not test my patience. Thanks all. |

I did not receive any reply from the organiser on why I had to leave in the middle of the week. If you do know of the answer, maybe you can let me know. I only know that I paid for the entire week and sales had started to increase slowly through the week and out of no where, the organiser say I have to leave immediately on Fri night. I was not the only affected vendor. If my products is not approved in the first place, why let me start in the first place. I paid for extra stocks for this event, paid for transport and suddenly have to leave when the weekend is approaching. Can I actually sue the organiser for lost of income? |
