Hi Kioskwerkz, thanks for your tips. I sell household products..eg. deodorant packs for cars/home, pillows, insoles, windchime I will definitely consider issuing free gift during the lst month. Agreed that it is good way to attract awareness and crowds. However I worry that after doing so, my customers will not buy on "normal days"(no promotion) until I have another period of free gifts or promotion discount again. Will that be spoiling my customers??

Don't worry about spoiling customers , this is not spoiling customers always like free gift one of retail rule. . NO GIFT NO GIVE ( Give you business).

After te promote month you may try next rule.

Hi I am a newbie and wish to start a pushcart but do not know how to go about it. Is there any legal requirements, need to have licence to operate pushcarts? And how can one start one if one do not have much capital and where to find consignments for pushcarts? - favour

Don't worry there is no newbies in model pushcart retail , only if you do not have PVCA you are not ready for this.

No need any licence to operate as long as you follow the rule and regulation from the pushcarts owner if not sure you may equire from them first when you sign any contact.

There is no rule that you must have big capital to run a pushcarts if you have big capital take over pushcart retail shop that earn money why setup pushcart by yourself.
First you must know what is a Pushcart and why ? How ? you want the pushcart to repay you. One thing you must keep in mind a pushcart is just a stepping stone to your retailing Dream If after three month no result still can't break even then something not right and if you can't disslove it then my advice close and find something else .
If can break even and move for enother years still the same and still in only one pushcart my advice stop doing it sell it away unless you are very comfortable in this way of life.

Consignment no problem there are alot Consignment good in the markets now .
Two condition with no Deposit or with Deposit that depend how you make arrangement with them.
If you have good plan on pushcarts retail there are also ways that no capital needed some one will pay for everything include your share.

Anyway If you are new and want to try i wish that you may try coz in pushcart not only you make profit and also make your life meaningfull and will learn alot of skills ( Tear and laughter ) that can benifit you in future where ever you be.

Last my advice if you want to start in no risk try for one month in Flea market that only cost you for $30 - $ 50 a day rent get Consignment good .
See only $50 dollars a day to start a business and also let you experence do you still want to step on pushcart .Do this buget fine for you.
Then WHAT YOU WAITING FOR unless you are a TNA person.
