Re: Bazaar Scam

Angieng, I do hope you get your refund back soon. Do remember to followup closely on the refund process. I do not have any issues with any organisers but I do want all organisers to respect and help vendors out whenever possible.

Sometimes, organisers want to collect the payment immediately to confirm a booking but when their event is cancelled, they take a long time to refund back to vendors. They will give reasons that the accounts need to process the refund process.

Just spare a thought that all vendors needs the money to roll over at other events. Sometimes, when the event is cancelled, the vendors have to looked for other venues to sell in the last minute and this might not always be possible. At the end of the day, vendors will be left with excess stocks and no place to sell. This is especially so during this Christmas period. I hope the organisers do take note of this point.

As for Wendyw, my advice is to forget about your loss and move on. That event called Marina Bay Market was a scam from the first place. The even mentioned that the event was supported by the Fullerton Heritage Board and I understand that a lot of people got cheated. The event was not approved by URA from the very beginning. The person that you liase with (Tina) was just a staff and there is nothing she can do. The original owner is someone called Azlin (Lynn). She is declared a bankrupt and currently residing in Kuala Lumpur. So....my advice is to forget and move on.

Also, recently some people has been asking me advice on joining bazaars. My sincere advice to all the newbies is that be very careful when an event organiser ask your to transfer the money immediately. Ask for his company name and check with the building management whether such an event is confirmed. I understand that recently, there is an organiser who has already been asking and collected money from vendors for an event at Star Vista but still did not get the management approval because the police permit has not been approved yet. My opinion is any organiser should only start collecting payment upon confirmation from all relevant parties.

In anyway, I wish all of you the very best of luck !

Re: Bazaar Scam

i urge anyone who had been scammed by ices zhang o jason zhang of ideal solution Pte Ltd to quckly lodge a police report. As some of the vendors had already done so. the more people lodging a report, the more severity the case is. Ices has been arrested on 9th Nov and is bailed out, he is warned by police to make refunds to all people who lodge the report. despite that he is still under going police investigation, he hasn't refunded any vendors so far (i know). on top of that, vendors, please be careful as he is still scamming actively telling people that he is hosting an event this mth in Expo.

I have booked for jurong point 25&26 nov thru Joseph hui and gotten 1/2 the amount refunded. I'm waiting for the balance to be transfered by instalment within this week. He claims that boss is out of town and cheque cannot be signed. I advise u to keep chasing them for the refund to avoid regrets.

Vendors, whether or nt we are competitors in this industry, we have to learn to help each other to avoid being cheated by scammers out there. If we build a strong & united group, the less scammers have their chance. This forum is a good base to start.

Cheers!

Re: Bazaar Scam

emailed kpopfiesta early dec for vivo refund..but according to him, he says he is processing the refund for JP first..after that, then will settle vivo...apparently, he is just buying time as to date, no refund has been made and JP one still not settle..how is this possible? How many refunds he has to make that could not be completed after 1mth??? Not sure how many booths for JP is he selling? For vivo, he is only marketing out 10 booths as claimed but it takes ages for him to do the refund...

Re: Bazaar Scam

don't waste time liao, file police report asap, and someone should contact the media (Zao Bao, Straits Times) to get this issue publicize so that (1) others who are affected but not in this forum is aware and (2) also serves as a warning to everyone else interested in doing future bazaars/events/fairs.
