![]() Hi,
Can I know what you are shipping in? I suppose you are getting from USA, can't your supplier send via USA postal service? Unless you are bringing in something huge in cartons, otherwise I dun see why they cannot send via USA post. |

![]() my suggestion..
1.get a forwarder in Singapore, but you need to have a performa invoice from the country you export, if goods value less than SGD$400, no GST, but exceed, you need to pay it, upon arrival of the goods to you. normally forwarder will settle everything in one stop. 2. you no need to go airport by urself, let the professional do it, ,they (forwarder) jus need your authorised letter, to collect on behalf of you, performa invoice, please take note that you only have 48 hrs to clear everything in CAAS (or CIAS), i forget liao, sorry,..and you need to call them to find out, THEY DUN CALL you.. 3. dun think about DIY, let professional do it for you, why waste time prepare import license, performa invoice, they need to pass up document one by one to clear custom, trust me, spend more time on your business part, dun waste your time, as wat i wrote, you only have 48 hrs to clear everthing, for professional, they only need half day, and somemore it's sat, nt that simple, especially if you import stuff frm thailand, you will vomit blood... that's my 2 cents..... ![]() |

![]() hi
agree with the above...get a forwarder. are your goods shipped alreadi? if nt, request for door to door n not door to airport. even if its door to airport, you nd a forwarder to clear for you. you cant do on your own cos its too troublesome, not only cost but times esp you are nt clear about procedures n process...you end up passing thru dept by dept n prob dunno wats happening. if via USA, shld be USPS, they send direct to your hse. or via Vpost if you have an acct. |

![]() The last time I've checked, you need to go through alot of process, and licensing, just to get into Changi Cargo. So imagine all the processes? Just get a forwarder to do it for you, and save the time, and trouble. It's easier, I hope.
