![]() Hi all,
I'm really awed by this forum. It's so informative and helpful! I have a blogshop and would like to bring it to the next level - eg. having a shopping cart and domain, etc. But before that, I would like to get some comments, feedback and suggestions on how i can improve the current one. Let me know what you would like to see as a consumer and what do you see lacking in my blogshop as a business owner. Would really appreciate your help! Here goes. i-lovenotebooks.blogspot.sg thanks! |

![]() - Love the rainbow wallpaper/background
- Font a bit small or may be I am getting old ![]() - "How to order" page - What are you trying to say with "discount code?" Write in proper sentence. And when you asked if customers have read your T&C, probably best to provide a direct link to your T&C. - consider including a customers' testimonial page - "Shop Now" page - Cute pictures but a bit too clutter - Navigating from products to products is not user-friendly - "I love notebooks" - So where is the focus? I would imagine the key products are Notebooks instead of passport covers and stickers. Perhaps you should place Notebooks first. - Facebook - Under-utilized! What a shame! Engage in "like" and "share" to bring in the fans. |

![]() Will think about all that you've suggested and make changes. ![]() Anyway, here's a few questions.. 1. Where do you suggest I add the customers' testimonial? A page by itself or? I've thought of that before and don't really want it to be at the sidebar as it'll look weird if my sidebar is too long. 2. Do you know how I can add "You may also like this" suggestion box where they will have thumbnails of other products when shoppers are looking at one particular product? Most probably I'll need web hosting to get it work? 3. I am quite helpless when it comes to facebook and your suggestion really 'enlightened' me. haha. Will try to engage facebook-ers. ![]() I shall start spinning my brain with your points and work on them.. Hee hee. At the meantime, any more suggestions / feedback? ![]() |

![]() yup agree the cross cursor thingy is abit of bother
![]() If you're gonna do this long term, suggest that you get your own domain & web hosting that way you can add more functionality to your website, but that's only viable if you have in stock items and will be focusing on doing this online biz long term n not just for fun...unless you know how to create & manage your web store. If you're gonna continue expanding on blogspot, do create text links below the banner images so in case the banner image doesn't show up or take too long to load, shoppers can click on the text link to jump to other pages. Your navigation thru internal pages are not user friendly with too many 'happening' (top menu, side bar, main page etc), shoppers may not know where to start clicking. Shoppers may be confused and give up clicking on links to get to what they wanna see. Suggest you reduce your navigation thru internal pages...best under 2 clicks to get to the item page. This is the main issue that appears to me now but there are still alot to improve on to make your website look more professional. Anyway take it step by step and learn along the way ![]() |

![]() Glad that feedback & comments are starting to stream in...
![]() I'm not an expert so can't help you on point 2. Re testimonial, a separate page should do, keeping latest testimonial at the top. Remember not everyone is keen to provide testimonial/feedback, sometimes customers may be busy, some shy away from giving comments and some simply too lazy to take that final step. So if you do face problems getting testimonials, one way to encourage them would be give freebies or discount in their NEXT purchase, this way not only do you get testimonials, feedbacks & comments that will help you to improve, you will also stand a chance to secure more business in the near future. ![]() Quote:

![]() yes, I think it is only polite to seek your customers' permission before you publish their comments.
