I did participation some bazaar and do walk around to other stores, including those selling same group of items. e.g accessories, apparels. However I am not checking on my "rival".. juz looking n see gt any thing that attracts me. Coz i believe everybody holds diff type of style which may attract diff types of customers. so nth to fight at all actually.. unless that person is tryin to copy you.

The only thing i did was to put my blogname on the picture. So if other people hu wanna take my picture, it will be quite difficult bah? unless its an expert hu kws hw to edit w/o spoiling the background.
I do agrees with what you said as i know vendors do walk around look see or shop & i know that even vendors selling same group of items have their own different styles of items that may even attracts me to buy too.But i do not understand why there are people do really does so extremes trying to copy my designs asking what materials ,looking so obviously details (*Too obvious behaviors of trying to copy remember the designs*)even in front of me pretending as customer & my sales are not even doing that well for them to even copy??

It actually took me quite time consuming trying to put my blog name on my pictures but with use of some soft-wares programs it can copy paste edit away the blog name. What Flying Elephant mentions earlier like what calamine solutions do, they somehow do something to their pictures that people cant even click to copy.*Anybody knows how to do so can advises here? thnks

From what i heard a domain cost roughly $60-$100 a year only, not sure if that's true.Just that whether you know how to maintain or creates your own website, if not you pay professionals to do it be damn expensive.

I'm not familiar with even properly done my blog that i can't get any traffics flows or even put a mailing list in my blog.Haven't even done a single transaction through my blog yet since i setup my blog months ago don't know what's wrong with my blog. I can't even find my blog thru the search engine.I even stupidly accidentally flag my own blog as objectionable content & there's no header for me to unflag it.When using either I.E or Firefox the main pages looks abit different & when there's header my email add can't link.Sighz...

Maintainance...it's, well, time-consuming n if you're not good at it, don't even think about it.

Plus, I'm cash-strapped. Even as cheap as USD$8-$9 means a lot.

Hey secretgarden,

you can make use of any photo editing software (commonly use - photoshop) to insert these watermarks before you convert the photo into jpeg format. when doing so, you have to make sure your watermark is placed over your product so that the other party cannot crop and remove them easily.

alternatively, you can have your trademark pasted on your product when you take picture. These trademarks dun have to be huge or prominent. As long as they can be proof before the judge.

Hope this helps!! PM me if you need more information on how to go about doing it.

Thats cool! Maybe i should try it on my own and see whether it really works. Another method to prevent people to copy is, i think sth related to HTML which you arent able to "right-click" if you wanna to do copy paste.

Just my 2 cents, If you are using javascript to prevent right-clicking on the image, you are damaging your chance to get listed on search engines images directory.
