A Market for the Arts
As part of our efforts to provide vibrant recreational activities in our
parks, Nparks will be organising a regular series of Art Markets @ Fort
Canning Park. Whether you are into sculpturing, painting, pottery, fashion
design, busking or just simply creative handicrafts; if you have received
formal training or even none at all; if you are planning to pursue a career
with your talent or just exploring your creativity – we have a place for
you. This event will provide you with the opportunity to showcase your
works, generate awareness of your talents and gauge public perception. We
intend to feature crafts from a variety of disciplines.
This inaugural event will also be promoted on various websites, promotional
posters/flyers, email broadcasts as well as a 'Visual Arts' event under
the Singapore Arts Festival 2007.

Express Yourself
At present there are generally limited opportunities for budding artists to
present their works to the public. Quite often these presentations have
restricted outreach due to constrains in marketing, venue capacity, budget,
etc. Objectively, we intend to organise 6 or more such markets a year at
Fort Canning Park, this is an ideal opportunity for an artist to develop a
reputation or branding of his/her works. There will also be opportunities
for conducting talks, workshops, symposiums, launching new products,
showcasing new innovations, etc. Apart from featuring a large collection
of craft vendors, we also intend to include complete food and beverages
services as well as educational and entertaining stage programs.

We are pleased to invite your participation in our inaugural event at No
Cost if you register with us before 15th May '07. Nparks will undertake to
provide you with a choice location complete with the basic necessities
to display your products.
