![]() hi hanger,
if your drinks are packaged - e.g. packet drinks or canned drinks - then you're able to retail at pushcarts, subject to the management's approval. if your drinks need to be prepared - e.g. brew kopi type - you need to get a shopfront that allows for f&b preparation. go to http://www.business.gov.sg/EN/Indust...rage/index.htm for more information to find out more. would require nea approval, etc for Food Stall License - go to http://www.business.gov.sg/EN/Indust..._FoodStall.htm if you plan to operate within a market or a food court, search for Food Shop License good luck ![]() |

![]() hi hanger,
Mystech is correct. even if it's homemade drinks, you have to produce them in a licensed premise (eg: shop which allows for F&B preparation, or a central kitchen). you cannot produce in your house kitchen then sell it as bottled drinks. |

![]() oh yah, before i forget, other than the food stall license, you would need to register your business too (unless you're planning to sell in hawker centre stores. that only need food shop license).

![]() Dear Hanger,
sorry to disappoint but 1K is impossible to get a kiosk in bugis or anywhere. If you try the wet market you might get lucky. Last I heard bugis kiosk is around 4000. If you are only looking to sell homemade bottle drink i think it is cheaper to approach shops in raffles place like clifford pier etc and just be a distributor or rent one corner from them. In that way you don't have to apply for food shop license but make sure in contract stated you can be their licensee. However you still need a place to prepare your drinks so you still need some form of license for that. For registration of business , that is relatively easy and cheaper |

![]() hi hanger,
1k is very tough for CBD area. even hawker store like amoy and maxwell is around 1.8k to 2.5k per month in rental, not forgettin there's still the sc&c charges, and your cost in raw materials and packaging. (anyway i did saw one at amoy level 2, doing quite well ![]() anyway i dun think you can sell your tea anywhere if your place of manufacture is not licensed. you can consider getting a food stall/store (retail front) or central kitchen (manufacturing front - as suggested by Dearashiu - so you can do licensing & distribution). either way, you have to be licensed - either NEA or AVA. |
