Hi,
Thought I can give some feedback. I have been there in July. That is the price for the 1st few pushcarts facing the Raffles Place MRT station. Not sure where dare2be's pushcart is located. If it is the 1st few ones, that is the rental.

If your goods can move, you can definately cover the rental plus profits. Mainly lunch time crowd from 12 - 2.30pm. It is crazy at lunch time, sometimes you get 2 or 3 customers asking you questions at the same time. But from 2.30pm onwards, shoppers start to dwindle. Next high point will be from 6 - 8pm when people knock off, but will not be as good as lunch time. Weekends are basically dead. And be prepared to give discounts.

Thanks Kitty for ur indeed precious infor... You meant Rental @ $4500( W/GST) for 5 Day Week and operate depending only on 12pm-230pm and 6-8pm sales ONLY?? Is a big RISK... Sure can cover? Crowd got purchasing power?

Thanks kitty for answering my questions as I was quite busy the last few days and no time to go online.

I cannot guarantee that you can cover, it will have to depend on your product. I was sharing the pushcart with a vendor selling children clothes. We are the 1st pushcart along the lane, we get a lot of eyeballs from lunch crowd coming from the shenton area and the people coming from the escalator (located next to ATM machines) leading to the MRT. I sell children products and my stuff are not cheap. I took 1/4 (the front side of the cart) of the cart and I managed to cover my rental.

Purchasing power wise, I think the crowd are willing to pay a bit more if your products are unique, but as usual, some can bargain till the cow come home. That said, our next pushcart don't seem to be doing very well :)

Another point worth noting if you intent to sell there, you are basically selling to the same crowd that goes to the area for lunch. So if you will be there for 1 mth, try to change your product range every week, otherwise the shoppers will not bother to browse if they don't see anything new after 5 days :)

All the best.
