Can My Manufacturer Undercut Me? Should I Stop Dealing with Them Or......?
 

Hi to everyone, this is my first post here as I still can't decide what to do now.

I'm in the process of starting my own business as a supplier. I've found out later that my overseas manufacturer who got to know my business idea through our discussion in the meeting had started the exact business, offering the same services as me. What worse is that they refused to give me better prices as according to them they'll make a loss if they give me anything lower, but now they're offering Singapore market at $1 more than me and free shipping which again they told me they're unable to do so for me. They're obviously trying to undercut me, should I talk to them about this or just forget about my time and effort putting in and give them a miss?

Look for a better deal, if you are the one paying the fee you should determine the service level! =D

That's business.

I used to have a shop at Bugis 2nd level and most of my stock then was from a local supplier. I was doing very well then and I guess my supplier got greedy. Moreover we were promised exclusivity in that area. Sigh.

They opened a shop near mine without my knowledge until one day when going to buy lunch, I passed my the shop thinking, same stock!

Then again, it's better not to work with these people.

That's horrible! I'm sorry to hear about your bad experience, I really hate such businessmen who have no only $$ in their eyes.

Joe, you can contact SMRT. They really need your wiremesh. Especially those which can electrocute graffitti artists specifically.
