It's a 3rd party mailing system. They have an agreement with major mail providers not to treat your email as a spam.

If you are using your own mail system, after you hit the threshold, your email will be treated as trash/spam.

They have many additional features:
1. script to build your mailing list subscription.
2. newsletter templates.
3. tracking bounce, open, forwarded emails, etc.

and many more.

hi fancypocket, do u mind to share how much u're paying for mailchimp?

i met the global2mail sales yesterday, he mentioned approx $400 monthly for basic features, 1 yr contract required, 5000 emails provided.

as their system is online, instead of a programme install into ur comp, i'm also curious if the emails we ourselves put in, will be recyled into their database and available for other clients (which the sales say no, cos bound by confidentiality..). he also mention that these emails he got is from surveys.

now i also dunno whether useful or not to try a mailing system. $400+ x 12 months already min $4800.. -_-"

That's too expensive. Mailchimp is definitely much cheaper. I pay US$75 monthly for 9.5K+ subscribers. You can check their website and click on the pricing tab.

I also using MailChimp, quite user friendly. As I do not have many subscribers, I using MailChimp for FREEEEEE kekekeke.......

I think you have misunderstood. Mailchimp is an service provider that help to manage your mailing list. They have user friendly features to help you create professional looking emails / eNewsletter to be send to your potential customers. They DO NOT provide any subscribers / customers lead.

Do not ever buy subscribers lead even when the company claimed they are legit.

Your domain name may end up to be listed in the spam database. Eg. spamcop, spamhaus, dnsbl, etc.

Few companies will gather them legally by asking question:

"do you want to receive emails from our partners" ?

when you sign up for some services.

However, highly chance, they will still mark your email as a spam when they receive them.
