Proposal For Rental of Retail Space

Hi,

I have been asked to submit my proposal for a retail space from the mall management. It seem like a standard practice for the mall management to ask to see proposal first before they even want to talk our rental fee.

May i know what to include in the proposal? Am not good at writing this thus if there's any reference out there, it'll of great help.

It should include:

executive summary, vision, mission, keys to success, company profile, marketing strategy, sales forecast, break even analysis, projected profit and loss, projected cash flow and projected balanced sheet.

Need sometime to gather all these info, though i have no idea how to project things like turnover, breakeven analysis, .....

Does anyone have a sample for reference?

Basically, it's just a projected sales, profit & loss.

You can easily type "business proposal" or "business plan" at google and they have hundreds of samples.

they are also probably very keen to know what products you will be selling - dont want to be selling something that a current tenant is already selling.

of course they want to make sure you not selling imitations, or things that may have copyright implications: e.g., handphone case with LV logo, plush toys that copy Disney, etc

suggest you walk through the mall and understand who sells what first to get a better idea. if poss talk to current shop owners about how they are doing. you cannot be too direct of course...
