depends alot on your business structure. Retailer? whole sale? MLM . as whole sale, you cannot push yourself too far forward, hence you have to employ the traditional way of getting a salesman. if you're a retailer, then, the options open up.

I have join before some MLM company, i even remenber that before i join them time they say alot of thing seen very good, but in the end when i join them time alot of thing turn to be not same, say really once you join their company they will ask you to buy their product before you can start intro the product to other people. There is people in the company told me before, as long as i didn't buy any product and try, any of the people that come to the company and buy the product from me, the product commision i can't recieve it and they say that i must get the product to try than i can start recieve the product commision.

kenneth, all i'm saying is you need to narrow context down, else it's gonna be chaotic. or perhaps a topic for each niche.

evelyn, MLM provides very good sales training, since your sales is their lifeline. if you can survive in MLM, you can survive everywhere (I feel). That said, just think about it; every MLM I went to boast about their exponential penetration into the market. Which was true. But that also brings up the fact that beyond a certain time, joining the MLM just simply doesn't make sense as most people are already part of it and they would not buy from you.

MLM by itself is an excellent business model.

Problem is, that it gets abused by people who do not have a good product to sell.

That's when the problem arises. But for small business owners, MLM is something which can help you get your product fast and wide.

Yeahh.. i totally agree that MLM by itself is a superb biz model. From my experience, i've joined or heard bout 4 diff. types of MLM company ( while i was working full time for retail outlet ). The positive thing is that, i do learnt quite a fair share in their ways and plans apart from the diff products they sell. Through my experience, i also am able to see the diff. in their self proclaimed foolproof plans and see the fools...

Now, i have left my previous sales job and have set up a blogshop, "facebook shop" and also am joining weekend markets in shopping mall ( Orchard ). Networking is an essential key for me. But i have yet to hear of any online sellers that are eventually successful in his or her online business in Singapore. Can anyone share if you have come across a him / her who hd succeeded just starting from a humble blogshop?
