Weekends SMU Fleamarket worth it?
 

Hi people,

Juz wondering anybody like to share their experience doin flea at the SMU fleamarket? Coz haven been there for quite sometime so wanna have a feel whether is it worth the rent anot? Thanks in advance!!:thanx:

The SMU weekend bazaar has gone through many changes since i last went. Hard to tell if it's better or worse. It wasn't that good initially. Anyway i am willing to give it a try and thinking of sharing with someone for the tent space. You may go to their website for more details. PM if you interested to share for june one.

The rental has increased again since May:( , dun know if it is bcos of more people taking up. Kind of quite competitive among the stalls, be it the product or price. No harm trying.

just the usual stuff.. 2nd hand items. Clothes, accessories, bags, shoes.
Handmade items as well. LOL. =/

Its a 2 day thing. Friday and Saturday. Don't know if Friday will be a wasted day.

They have $45 booths and $70 booths ya?

I WANNA TRY! But I am so indecisive.

they have it every mth i did it once and i feel not really worthy as the crowd is bad. If you push your stuff like really aggressively u can probably earn.I know cos there was this popcorn stall beside me selling really aggressively and they got like 3 digit figure sales daily

But the crowd is just not sustainable for it.

i agree smu wkends like not much crowd. i went once when they holding at smu. i was at the cathay at first. smu there very dark. but i heard loud music across the street then decide to go 'kpo' then find out got flea market haha. but so dark, cant see the things too.

I sold muffins and brownies. Not a very good choice but just wanted to test market. Did make back the rental but I feel not worth the hassle plus it was so hot there. The other stalls also not doing well. Mainly there is no crowd. At least for lime flea market there is a crowd though it is v hot too

so far only wkends smu then can sell food items rite? i dun think lime can sell food items, may have to check with mediacorp..

Last I checked, you're not allowed to sell food, drinks & magazines at Lime Flea Market.
