Hey vendors, who took part in the bazaar event by Calamine? How was your sales for the past 2 days?

I overheard 2 of the SPH ppl walking pass me and talking about Calamine

C - Chinese Guy
I - Indian Guy

Below is their conversation that i overheard

C: Calamine complainting alot about no ppl...
I: When there is no ppl, why should we answer to them??
I: That's their problem what!!
C: yah lah

...... the rest i cannot hear liao.. but when i heard it, i feel like confronting them telling them ITS OUR MONEY THEY ARE EARNING!!

Erm, how are you guys fairing at Suntec? Is it better than Expo?:confused2:

I saw brides n beauty fair advert n the branded goods fair on MY paper on fri. But nothing mentioned abt the flea. So i guess it shld be another case of "tag along" n waiting for crowd to come to the fair to pass by flea again.

I went to suntec for the toys' fair and had a hard time trying to find the flea:confused2: . Finally found the flea inside the bridal's hall, most people will skip the bridal hall unless you are planning to get married. As compared to the flea at expo from 24-26July, I think the flea at expo attracted quite a crowd:clap: . The suntec one is really nobody:( .

I took part in both the expo one and suntec one. I would say that the expo one is really a much better one compared to this suntec one. Though this one is less cramp with respect to the new layout, no crowd leh..quite pathetic... My partner is there selling for me and according to her, my items are one of the highest sales one. But still, it falls short of my expo sales by one big gap. My daily sales for suntec is not even half of my expo one. Quite disappointing. My husband says the newspaper did not mention on the flea leh..no publicity :(

And even outside the hall itself, only 2 big posters are there during friday when i went. One poster is for the bride one, and the other poster is for the branded bag sales..nothing outside will lead u in to the flea market for our portion..haiz

The expo one crowd really is much better. U see the number of people (regardless whether they do buy or not). But the people is there..so the hope is there..but suntec one..............

well, technically, the sph ppl no sala. nor the calamine ppl. They can do advertisement, but if the ppl dun come, they also no choice. the only thing you can do is to avoid events that dun work out. From the postings, seems like no advertising was done for the flea. If they never promise you that advertising will be done, calamine also no sala. you just need to be more careful in the future.

Tiny, congrats on your sale. I went for the expo sale, got really bad sale, so decided to pull out from another of calamine one. Hope you guys managed to cover rental at least.

in my understanding, they'll advertise the bazar or mention that there will be a fashionista bazar along with those bridal n bags fair.
sigh.................. another lesson to learn!!!

if as per wat aphrodite posted, then there shld be advertising. but then its for the flea or for the brides fair then?????????

i onli saw small ad as per what i quoted above n based on wat ppl see at suntec, means no advert at all for the flea. So, the victim again is the vendor..wasting time n rental again??

after a lesson learnt at expo, surprised tt calamine onli managed to improve on the space issue n nt on advert? I believe their income shld be able to cover a small advert on ST on fri or sat ba??

The publicity only on the bride & beauty fair lor...and mention on the branded apparel and bags also..i thk it is the later publicity that manage to save some of us. If not, think who will go in except those who are planning to get married???

True that it is not the organizers fault. Juz heng suay lor...But if no publicity is done, what will lead the people in? It is not like we are at the forum or lobby where shoppers will pass by one. We are at some faraway hall :(
