Carboot Flea at East Coast
Hi!
Has anyone taken part in the carboot flea at East Coast before? How's the crowd like? How's sales? Kindly share your experience (What price range are the crowds looking for, what kind of products are more popular, age range of the crowd, etc). :thanx: |
Re: Carboot Flea at East Coast
i tried one...super hot there....
just can cover rental...can not cover the cab fee to East Coast..haha |
Re: Carboot Flea at East Coast
been to one in nov n car boot...cant make to earn bk rental n worst, started raining :( just our luck..
my observation: 1) mostly local and families, not very willing to spend on 2nd hand clothes. looking for very cheap bargains and in GOOD and superb quality..want cheap and good 2) Car boot too hot, most ppl cant stand it n walk away. Heard bazzar have better sales 3) U must have unique products like maybe the car products..if ladies apparels, guess not much appeal. 4) Maybe new stuff can sell better but must be cheap aso..most ppl go to bazzar and look for cheap buys despite watever rental we pay for. so sometimes, i find it diff to breakeven on cost and rental. Moreover, they increase rental n nd to rent tentage. so, i am also sceptical towards this... |
Re: Carboot Flea at East Coast
Oh dear, thanks for all the information.
Guess I won't be joining the next one. Because I thought it's quite publicised, so good chance might have a good crowd. But looks like I was wrong. Thanks for the information again! :) |
Re: Carboot Flea at East Coast
oh yes,
unless u really have a lot of bargain to offer. participated last weekend, and was pretty disgusted with the crowd there. felt that the entire event was not well-organised, and everything there is expensive... tentage - $50 power socket - $50 food and drinks there.. expensive too. whereas the people there are all looking at cheap stuff ranging from $1... bad bad bad. :( |
Re: Carboot Flea at East Coast
Last weekend didn't know tt it was actually a joint event with Carboot & was at the Flea-a-lot side..Neeways, yes it was SCORCHING HOT and the overhead is high. But don really agree tt the crowd was nt willing to spend on secondhand stuff...Depends on their bargaining power actually.

Re: Carboot Flea at East Coast
regarding car-boot sale: the crowd is not too bad. i made a bit the last time as a seller. :)
regarding flea-alot. I was a seller at the flea-a-lot 2 months ago. it was raining super heavily, and the tentages were not good enough to cover our stuff. hence, i could not make but without the rain, i dunno if i could have made also. |
Re: Carboot Flea at East Coast
wow! sounds like its either very hot or heavy rain..
hmm.. |
Re: Carboot Flea at East Coast
Hi,
Am interested in the car boots sales at Big Splash.... Please advise how should we do the booking ? Cheers...:) |
Re: Carboot Flea at East Coast
I have tried 5 weekends at East coast. Caught in the rain once.
Only 1 comment, not worth the rental for such a crowd. I was selling new items targeting 25-40yrs age group. But if you sell kids stuffs, maybe can give a shot as there are many families hanging around after dinner. |
