Car Boot Sale
Dear all,
Has anyone ever tried Car Boot Sales at East Coast before? How is the crowd? Care to share? Thanks. :) |
Re: Car Boot Sale
Hi
I was at the car boot sales last weekend 10-11 Jan. I paid S$50 for the lot, 1st day parking is free covered by the S$50 but 2nd day you will need to pay the car park. The car park fee per hour is S$1.07, we paid about S$13 car park for the 2nd day. Pointers: 1. Bring lots of sun block if you decide not to rent the tent, I didnt know I can rent the tent on the 1st day and I got sun burnt. I think the tent is a must, if not very hard to bear the heat. 2. The tent can be rent at S$30 per day, this will increase your fixed cost, I suggest you buy the tent or bring umbrella from carrefour to save cost 3. If possible, bring your own food. Food vendors sell fried rice at S$5.50 and drink at S$2, it is expensive to buy food at east coast 4. Crowd is good and sales is good. The crowd came in at lunch time and after 530pm 5. Compared to China square flea market, the crowd at car boot sales is far far better. The crowd there go for clothes, bags and lifestyle items because you have the ang mo crowd. If got lobang, better to share with someone who got the lot. You can then bring your items and use their space saving on car park. I believe they are increasing the price to S$80 for 2 days. Good luck to all and wishing you all good sales for those who is going to the car boot sales. |
Re: Car Boot Sale
Hi All,
just cant help but comment and agree that the food/drinks whoaaaa...expensive. is there a possibility of me selling packed/take away food and drinks there. being a newbie, it would definitely be a platform for me to venture into a small, food takeout enterprise and events such as this would be a starting point/stepping stone in encouraging entrepeneurship that our govt is crying out to our fellow singaporeans. btw when/where/how do i get a slot. where do i need to register? PM me,k. tks cheers to all. |
Re: Car Boot Sale
Sorry, organizer does not allow for food and drinks. The vendors sure make noise if the organizer allow it.
However, I saw 2 kids running around selling curry puff to the stall owners. Check the Playground website and click on car boot sales to register |
