Yep know about it. Crowd is there but only interested in CHEAP CHEAP stuff like 1-5 bucks kind.

The people there are usually housewives who ALWAYS got for what look good, cheap and durable. I live there. I see the aunties who crowd around the stalls, all bargain-hunters. Unless you're selling your things between $1-$5, it's gonna be tough.

Clothes, feasible. Skincare, not really. Mosy people in Ghim Moh go for clothings and household products.
