Hello! Anyone here owns/operates a cafe or coffeehouse? I intend to open a small cafe sometime late next year (Q4) together with my friend. We have agreed to each fork out 100k as capital so it should be plenty spare cash left even after renovation, purchasing equipment and stocks.
I am hoping to find out if there are any courses in Singapore that teaches one more about the selections of coffee beans, types of coffee and the making of designs (leaves, flowers, heart etc).
I also hope to find out more about what local cafes consider when choosing a supplier for their coffee beans. I might try to import my own premium coffee beans from Vietnam and/or Indonesia so that it is cheaper. However, it meant that I might need quantities beyond what is necessarily for my sole cafe. I was thinking of reselling these beans to other small cafes for a small fee (say $1-$2 per kilo above my cost).
Any advise and comments would be much appreciated.
