Licensing Products Advise
Pls advise,
This malaysian company doesn't have licensing to sell their disney children clothes in singapore but has license to sell only the disney gift set. No singapore company has the license for this disney children clothes. 1) Will i get into problem in singapore if i went over to malaysia and bought the children clothes from their outlets and sell in singapore? No problem for the malaysian company because the transaction was closed in malaysia. |
Re: Licensing Products Advise
Even if they have an exclusive distributor in Singapore, you are still legal to do so (provided that the Malaysia distributor would like to sell it to you). This is called parallel import.
To be on the safe side, you may want to contact a lawyer to follow up :) |
Re: Licensing Products Advise
u'd better check out with legal services before commiting to it... even if anyone here says :" CAN" , i still think you should check out with the lawyers or legal services yourselves... better be safe than sorry...

Re: Licensing Products Advise
The problem now is that its Disney products. Its copyright-ed to ell and back. I've heard cases where a company sues another for promoting their products. As the rest said, its better to consult a professional.
