Importing from China
 

Can anyone advise the formalities of importing from China? Gadgets, gizmos etc.. Import duty or just have to pay GST?? Any info would be much appreciated

hmm.. is that a min qty to meet before we have to pay? think below tt min qty don have to pay rite? :confused2:

Importing of more then $400 inclusive shipping and insurance then you need to pay GST.

If i'm not wrong, usually when you import with tracking #, those shipping company like UPS,Fedex etc will quote you the shipping cost which include insurance coverage.
Insured just incase your goods never reach you.
You need to pay GST if the amount is more then $400 base on CIF (Cost of goods,Insurance cost and Freight charges).
Above is base on my understanding, it might be wrong :laff:

if i have a friend that can sent me the product from china is it possible... and need a license to???
