7% GST for Sea Freight Regardless Goods Value <or >SGD 400???
 

Hi All, need help ! i was advised by a Singapore Custom officer that the 7% GST will apply regardless your value of goods are lesser or more than SGD 400 for Sea Freight.
He said that only Air freight less than SGD 400 will not require to pay GST.

From what i understand..it is INCLUSIVE of shipping charges de....but by air dun always kena GST even though >400 also..it is kind of heng suay...if ur goods so lucky kena custom check, they will retain ur goods and u have to pay GST prior to collection...

As long your parcel declare value not more than SGD$400 will do.
Just simply ask your sender to declare lower value but not to fake also on value. =P
