Pushcart Rental Rates Summary Aug/Sep 2008

Below is the summary of the pushcart rental rates survey conducted in Aug/Sep 2008.
Rental rates for pushcarts in Singapore were largely stable during the 6 months since the last survey conducted in March 2008. However, there were pockets of rental increase in prime locations, resulting in slight uptrend in average rental rates.
Of the 50 shopping malls surveyed, the following 9 pushcart locations saw increases in rental rates: - Centrepoint
- China Square Central
- Civic Centre (Woodlands)
- Compass Point
- HarbourFront Centre
- Junction 8
- Plaza Singapura
- Raffles Xchange
- Tiong Bahru Plaza
The steepest increases came from Plaza Singapura and Junction 8, both being managed by Capitaland Retail. Plaza Singapura bumped up its higher end rate from $3,500 to $4,500 per month, while Junction 8 adjusted its lower end rate from $1,800 to $3,000 per month.
As for the rest of the retail locations, rental rates remain largely in the range of $2,000 to $4,000 per month.

- Rivervale Mall
- Sembawang Shopping Centre
- Shaw Plaza (Balestier)
- Sun Plaza
- Suntec City Mall
- Tampines Mall
- Tanglin Mall
- Vivocity
- Wisma Astria
- West Mall
