Australian-listed developer Lend Lease has announced its newest upcoming suburban mall, Jem.

To be completed in the second quarter of 2013, Jem is expected to become Singapore’s third largest suburban mall, covering a gross floor area (GFA) of 818,000 sq ft and housing more than 280 retailers.

Located next to Jurong East MRT station, Jem will comprise an office tower and a retail podium.

The office tower, which has a total gross floor area (GFA) of 345,000 sq ft, has been 100 percent leased to the Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority (AVA), the Ministry of National Development (MND) and Building & Construction Authority (BCA).

The project will also house a 10-screen Cathay multiplex, which will take up 47,000 sq ft.

Other anchor tenants include Robinsons, Fairprice Xtra Hypermart, Koufu food court, Courts and Marks and Spencer.
