NEW Rules For Sharing of Retail Space

In order to bring clarity and unambiguity to sharing postings, the following rules will apply immediately: All offers must state: 1) Exact floor area and/or table size clearly. 2) Rental before any sharing arrangement (from landlord, marketing agent or event organiser). 3) Rental PER VENDOR after sharing arrangement, including the number of vendors to be involved. Posts that do not fulfil the above conditions will be deleted immediately without notice. We strongly urge responding members to find out the original, advertised rental rates for the space in question before committing to any sharing arrangement. This is to avoid unknowingly paying hefty premiums above the original rates on a pro-rated basis. To make it even clearer, we disallow any members from marking up rentals above the publicised rates for any events/space on a pro-rated basis. For example, if a table space costs $320, and is shared between 2 persons, then the offeror must advertise it as $160 per person after sharing between 2 persons. Please report any such attempts to mark up. Remember, Sharing of Retail Space is for sharing on a casual basis so rentals become more affordable for both offeror and the offeree. Not for the offeror to earn at the expense of the offeree. Any members found marking up rental rates will have his/her Premium account canceled immediately without notice. |
