Default GMarket on Yahoo

Hi all,

Would like to ask if anybody try to sell items on GMarket? Is it better than ebay? Would like to know which auction sites are more popular.

Thanks.

No sure of ebay.

I register for the Gmarket but endup I give up because posting a picture/advertisement is very troublesome, have to key in many details, not like previous yahoo auction which is very straight forward.

Hi,

E bay merchants a lot now more than customer range so i give up after trying for a month. Facebook advertising not bad not bit expensive to me.
G market i am trying out this week but they are charging at 12% ontop of yr selling price per item and they provide free training of loading items to their website also. have just loaded up 100plus items to their web page last weekend....no harm trying it

Gmarket is competitive but it charges high commission. If they could lower it, I believe more people will shop at gmarket. Anyway, among my friends, less than 1% knows Gmarket's existence. But still good online exposure.

I'll tried selling ladies clothes on Gmarket b4 but there is too many competition fm their own korean supplier, selling at really low price, i believe they give privileges to their own korean seller otherwise how can they manage to sell a tee at $5 and still pay for Gmarket 12% commission?

I tried both.

Found eBay at first easy to manage but later on find so trouble some with 7 days posting, had to re-list again and very slow. One a while got people buy, so slow. And some of them not too shy to send emails, ask me give cheaper price!

Gmarket at first very slow, but one you get on to it, its a good place to sell. Even those so many competitors. One thing I dnt like is the setltement its not 2 weeks, now like a month!

And no one has even 1 min to give you feedback! Typically I have to go and beg them to give me feedback. _

Selling 2nd hand cloth? I had a friend selling 2nd hand cloth for Korean, they have very special place to sell, so I go and ask her experience. I am going to try selling my off season cloth, BN, if you are willing to let it go at few bucks then done lah.

I'm not so sure about such platform. Firstly, this is a shared online market. Many people can enter.

1) Competition is damn high.

2) How many % will your items be shown and visit?

3) Whats the traffic into the website?

Personally, I think it is even tougher to have a blogshop or e-commerce website of urs.

Regards,
Takeshi

FOr Gmarket - If you are a GOOD Seller they will take 10% of your price of the items. meaning.. you sell $50 you get $45 bucks. and if you add a postage like $3 you will get back $2.7 So outside gmarket you get $53 bucks. selling in Gmarket you get $47.70 you tell me is it worth to sell in Gmarket anot. and whats best now the latest updates.. ALL non reg company for selling in Gmarket have to pay GST 7%.. Bravo! i guess I am soon going to quit gmarket being a seller. as being a seller i felt theres too much disadvantage.

Even i have a experience of Lost mail. gmarket actually email me told me that customer have not receive parcel please resend it again or refund fully. i was like I warn customer to get reg mail. but customer still choose normal mail. so why am i need to 100% pay everything? and what if all buyers are like that? arent we seller losing money? So i guess soon I am going to give up!
