Re: Gmarket
ya, I tried too, started just few months back. The buying power is indeed very very low.. Ya, you are right, there are mostly students and my products target market is working adults. I sold just merely a few products A MONTH!! My price range from $5-$100.
On top of bad business, Gmarket itself also has a lot of shortcoming : 1) The platform is super duper not user friendly!! very hard to use, very difficult to navigate around. I found it a bit sxxpid and retarded, cos got a lot repetition and a lot of useless additional steps. Keep changing and upgrading the platform, but not solving the problem. I may not be an IT savvy person, but averagely I use nearly 10 similiar kind of platforms in my previous and current work place and business, and this platform is the worst so far! ebay is better i must admit. 2) Customer service also very slow respond. 3) charges high, 10% of your product sold. Just provide a platform (a lousy platform). 4) Not easy to get back your money. Have to wait at least 2-3 weeks to be credited to your bank, this also depends on you and your customer if you are lucky. You can try, no harm trying. Some people may find it OK :juggle: |
Re: Gmarket
Hi guys thanks for the reply. My intention of having things to be sold on gmarket because of the large amt of customer base which attracts me. Actually i am considering to have a box rental in toy outpost but the fee and commission they take can really kills...

If you are looking at customer base, why not try set up an Amazon webstore? At least, it's pitched higher than Gmarket. Gmarket's average pricing is way too low... |
Re: Gmarket
Pardon me for saying this :) I have been selling on gmarket for abt a yr now, i think its pretty good, Yes u may find the initial payment abit slow....... but after the first payment, it becomes payment in every week so i guess its pretty ok ba, I do wanna branch out from gmarket, tried selling on my blogshop, gumtree, ebay, smh.............. response aint that great :( .
Since every now and then then i 'revamp' my site or i spent a lot of time just waiting for orders, i take the free time to answer my emails, As i usually start off selling on other platforms stating im a veteran seller on gmarket hoping to gain more sales, so quite a few emails are about asking me how to sell via gmarket, so i feel why not share the knowledge ive gained throughout this 1 yr+ period? Its not gonna hurt, so why not. But if any pple here do have another good platform for me to sell online, I'll be utterly grateful :applause: I do agree the price there is pretty low, quite a few sellers seeing that the price is low and slash even lower.................. and as a 'counter-measure' the price kenna slashed lower and lower............ What i personally feel, if selling started for 'you' on gmarket and manage to survive, i guess when selling on other platforms, ur price is already low, But if selling was started ellsewhere, then when 'you' bring in the price to gmarket, its pretty high.......... hmmmmm lucky i started online selling started on gmarket, so i guess its only a matter of time, i get 'accepted' elsewhere :smoke: wish me luck! :thanx: |
