Every item you sell they tax you 12% and even postage also they tax ,real blood sucker. You can't make much money from Gmarket and I heard from some sellers if they do not like the seller they can block their sale.Wah scary. The few koreans that in charge of Gmarket in Singapore are quite arrogant and short temper, the way they behave as though they are smarter than you.Nobody dare to offend them because they are the only auction platform that Singapore sellers can sell their goods. They are getting all Yahoo customer Ebay system is a bit messy while Gmarket will let you load your goods there for a year and if got sale they only tax you. Ebay will charge you straight away as soon as you load your item for sale, they charge you again for your item sold. In future Many people will be selling on website or auction market becoz Singapore retail place are rocket high. In March I give up my shop and selling online. |
Re: Feedback in Gmarket
anybody got problem getting payment from Gmarket?
|
Re: Feedback in Gmarket
yes! getting payment is a chore! for low power sellers, it takes them 14 days or so and after Thursday(?) to pay you your $$ THAT is provided the buyer updates the status to "delivered" on their end. If they after receiving your item but do not update on their end, its another 14 days (?) or so waiting period for Gmarket to acknowledge that the item has INDEED been received by buyer.
Taking into account the above circumstances, it seems that it will take Gmarket 28 days (?) to pay u the $$ Anyone disputing the above?? This is the current situation I am in, wonder if anyone elses facing the same problem. I have been selling items on Gmarket since Aug and my total sales has chalked up to 400 plus. Till now...not a cent! Emailing their customer service is also tedious! no reply for 1 week despite 2-3 emails... But alas! like the person above mentioned, in SG retail rental is too high, what to do but to sell online... |
Re: Feedback in Gmarket
These few months my sale in Gmarket was so bad and I do not know what is the reason,I used to get 30 to 50 orders average a month.
|
Re: Feedback in Gmarket

Just a thought..i am also experiencing low sales all of a sudden...and yes, I did &^@* the management thru email. |

Ebay is not convenience to upload photo and a lot things have to reset again, but better than blood-sucker GGGGGGGGmarket. |
Re: Feedback in Gmarket
If you got other sources to sell your things, do not waste your time loading your items in Gmarket. These few months I hardly has any sales but dare not question them.

Re: Feedback in Gmarket
Sales is ok for me but I'm just a beginner so I'm also not sure what is good sales. I get 1 order every 2 days on average. Trying to get more customer and more unique products.

One order for every 2 days is not consider good sales In fact my own website get more sales than Gmarket nowadays. |

Re: Feedback in Gmarket
I just started using Gmarket and have not sold out any. It seems that there are very high visitor traffic in the webt so I hope to attract some traffic there. Ironically I also sold better in my own blogshop and gumtree, which is free of charge. trying to explore more webs for selling besides gmarket...
|
Re: Feedback in Gmarket
you may try on emall or ebay singapore.
But i always prefer to sell it on my own website or blogshop which is more flexible and you do not need to paid anything for gmarket. |
Re: Feedback in Gmarket
Hi dears,
Hope your day is great! I am new here. I was google searching for selling in Gmarket & it brought me here. Thanks for all your information, I gain more insight of Gmarket. I need your advice on this. I am planning to sell online jewellery (mid price range) and was thinking of going to Ebay or Gmarket to draw in the crowds. Is it still advisable to do so? Or, is there a more seller friendly auction sites to visit? Thanks dears for your help! :thanx: May you have a blessful week ahead! Cheers! :applause: |
Re: Feedback in Gmarket
Pardon me for saying this :) I have been selling on gmarket for abt a yr now, i think its pretty good, Yes u may find the initial payment abit slow....... but after the first payment, it becomes payment in every week so i guess its pretty ok ba, I do wanna branch out from gmarket, tried selling on my blogshop, gumtree, ebay, smh.............. response aint that great :( .
Since every now and then then i 'revamp' my site or i spent a lot of time just waiting for orders, i take the free time to answer my emails, As i usually start off selling on other platforms stating im a veteran seller on gmarket hoping to gain more sales, so quite a few emails are about asking me how to sell via gmarket, so i feel why not share the knowledge ive gained throughout this 1 yr+ period? Its not gonna hurt, so why not. But if any pple here do have another good platform for me to sell online, I'll be utterly grateful :applause: |
Re: Feedback in Gmarket
Hey guys.. I think i will be withdrawing from Gmarket as a seller.. I would like to say.. its not worth to put your items in Gmarket to sell.. Starting sales was not bad.. slowly sales getting bad. Maybe when i first join they will push me more sales that i would love gmarket. but i guess i was wrong.. and now. latest news.. they are adding GST! 7% for non reg company. So gmarket every time took my 10% fee from the items and shipping everything they still wana add on 7% .. i felt is totally not worth selling items in gmarket.. thats my own options. But if ya in a reg company i think it wont affects you ba. but still.. they suck up everything including the postage.. sighz

Re: Feedback in Gmarket
Hi all,
I just started selling in Gmarket last month.. it is really a big headache.. their FAQ is useless.. and everytime I ask them qns they ask me to email my "manager" and the email is not working.. it is really stupid, but no choice as I wanna get more sales from all platform... I got a simple qns that I cant solve, HOW TO SET MULTI SHIPPING OPTIONS?? for buyer to select, normal or registered mail.. Hope someone can help, thanks |
Re: Feedback in Gmarket
hi hi ... but selling in Gmarket u have to put your items low so that u have sales...
anyway the mulit options u mean u want to add alot of items in ya thread huh? u can go Shipping>Click the listing that u want to add items>Option & Inventory >From there u can download a sample of the excel. u can use that to put all ya items inside with the qty and price that u want to additional add. hope this is what u wanted to ask. and hope it helps. good luck =) |
Re: Feedback in Gmarket
If you would like buyer to set normal or reg mail. u have to go under option & Invertory > Single Option. u can add for the post and everything like sample
Option title: Delivery options Option detail; (Normal Mail) Option Price; $0 If you want reg mail do the same thing Option title: Delivery options Option detail; (Reg Mail) Option Price; $2.24 :) hope it helps u can try a few rounds and slowly u will have the kick of it. i started gmarket when i know nuts about it.. its really going crazy and frustrated u have to keep trying n trying. When i complaint to my 'manager' who is in-charge he keep saying this is the most useful system that gmarket -____- and i say ya. the most user unfriendly system i have ever met. LOL |
Re: Feedback in Gmarket
Fabbie, thanks for your reply!
I tried the way u said, so under "Shipping" u put free? then let people choose the delivery option from the "option"? Actually I wanna know how to do the Shipping like the one in this link http://list.gmarket.com.sg/item/BLAC...?sellerview=on Thanks Setting up Gmarket really can vomit blood.. haha |
Re: Feedback in Gmarket
add so many system but never tell us how to use.
partial refund dun know how to use. what omit volume? I press ? also dun know how. really finding it abit tough to sell on gmarket. On gmarket They have a buyer protection where non-registered are seller responsiblity So its really tough to get people to choose registered. And when lose, i tell gmarket i warn people that free shipping can lose, they throw that policy back to me. Why not gmarket say to buyers, if you choose non-registered, seller no need refund. Like that i call up on people with $4x plus dollar order, tell them the benefits of registered. then say dun want, no need, then lose, kpkb, then report to gmarket. im really thinking of moving out of gmarket also. Its not i will not, but sooner or later. when enough is enough. you want fees ok, sure no prob , we know you need to eat also. We need some seller protection!!!!! |
Re: Feedback in Gmarket
I saw this thread. So, I also would like to voice out my opinion. G-market is currently named Qoo10 I'm a new seller there. I don't have good experience in the site. Doesn't seem to be so good. They claimed to let sellers listed their items for sale easily and how to be successful. I think it's just their own tactic to let new sellers join. Their transaction for normal sellers is expensive. One thing I do not like about is every seller have an Account Manager manage seller's account. If one have any questions can contact them, but the account manager also doesn't seem to bother seller able to sell products or not. I don't enjoy there. If there are other good auction sites, I rather join.

Re: Feedback in Gmarket
They continue this way, im gonna leave Qoo10 for sure.
