I would recommend you to start an Online store by using a simple Website builder tools that available which means you don't have to know the Programming language to build your website nor shopping cart.

Thanks for your brother's contact. However, I'm v disappointed as I have sent him d necessary for customization for my website in order to get a quotation from him but he does not seem keen to reply my SMS. I hope u understand that this is wasting my time & that he is not displaying any form of professionalism. After sending him a few SMS with no response , followed by a phone call that he did not pick up, I gave up. If he is not interested in doing d job than say so in d 1st place. I do not have to send any confidential stuff regarding my website to him. Now i totally regret. I hope this is not a scam or something.

Go with wordpress. Wordpress is open source and it's highly customisable with plugins from developers.

Wordpress is free to use but you will end with a www.yourstore.wordpress.com
which isn't professional looking at all. This is because your website will be hosted on their server.

If you are testing the market or is just in the trying out phase, you can start using wordpress for free right away and only when you see positive ROI should you seriously consider buying your own domain name and hosting your website with a more dedicated server.

Buying your own domain (it's cheap too! only abt US$12 per year) and hosting it on a dedicated server will give you the standard www.yourstore.com web address which all professional uses.

When you register with wordpress for a free account, there are numerous templates to choose from and making changes to it requires only simple click and drag which all of us should have no problem doing.
