a website or webstore with CMS?

wordpress.org is a good place to start but u need a hosting site to do it, so it will be a .com rather than a blogspot also webstore template can be bought for as little as USD$50, fairly simple one are free. take a look at my website i have just start up using wordpress with a cms template bought from the web

They are many things to considered not just the price alone.

You can get as cheap as $1 hosting, but I always believe in "you pay peanut, you get monkey.

Newbies are normally tricked by price & unlimited. There is no free lunch in this world. Read their fine print. They may provide unlimited as long as you dont 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8. Dont forget nearly all Singapore hosting companies are running on shared port for international traffic. You get fast local connection, but crawling outside Singapore.

Design company will try to earn extra $ by bundling it with hosting, but do they really understand everything about hosting, ecommerce, security, etc?

Many other things may cost your plan higher than normal; for example: true cloud infrastructure, dedicated resources, dedicated bandwidth, no oversell, cdn, etc.

Many free websites around which you can create in less than an hour, e.g. webs.com, jimdo.com. Of course, it also depends on what you need.

My advise is, don't go for the cheap developers.

couldn't agree more with what was said already earlier. you pay peanuts you get monkey. your biz website is just like any other biz expense. make sure you get your money's worth. nowadays, when buying a product, you need to find out about the after sales support too.

well. it depends actually. if you have a really nice template, I don't see why not. But most template that I see generally are more for personal usage though. haven't seen a really solid business template for blogger.
