Pricing - is Inclusive or Exclusive of Postage Better?

hihi!

i've always priced my products inclusive of postage eg. $26 mailed, as my online shopping friends and also a few customers shared that they do not like the hassle of having to calculate price+postage/handling.

however i've always personally felt that $25 (exclusive of postage) looks more enticing than $26 mailed. even though it may add up to the be same, but it still looks better aint it?

what do you guys think?

thanks!

How about $25.90? There's a reason why alot of goods are price at $XX.90 ;P

Hi, $25 definetly looks better. Cos to end user, they are usu more keen at the price. Most of the time, they think that they have to pay the postage separately. Cos i find it too troublesome to inform them of postage and thereafter argue over the stamp fees if the actual one is less than what they have paid - saw some cases of stamp argument from other sellers). Very funni one, although i already say free postage, customers always ask "what is the total price including postage?"

That is a funny one, but I haven't received such questions yet. As I also include free postage, what I got was 'Can you charge cheaper if I self collect?'

What about having a flat rate like $2 for 1 - 3 items. Your customers may end up buying more just to make the postage worth it hahahaha.....

Hehhee...right..for me, actually i dun count postage one..nowadays i juz put "postage and handling fee of $1.50 per order" so the more they order, the more saving they have...better job for me also :)

strange. I do not have much of the postage problem although I give my customers free registered postage. Btw, are you guys using registered postage?
