![]() 1. Do you need to register?
Legally speaking, yes. Practically, up to you. Registration now gives you more credibility when you need it in future (opening store, getting loans, opening corporate bank accounts etc). There are also benefits such as tax exemptions, funds & grants from government to purchase IT equipments for company. If you want it a hassle, practically speaking you don't have to. Jaywalking is illegal but most people do it as well. It's the same thing. 2. Where to get goods? Online or brick & mortar wholesalers are both feasible. You need to weigh the pros & cons such as costs, delivery, quality of product & reliability. Online wholesalers probably can get you slightly lower prices then brick & mortar ones but it would probably be a problem checking the quality of the products and you never know when they going to run after taking your money. Its harder for a brick and mortar wholesaler since they already have huge investments into the warehouse and its most likely cash & carry. Besides that, you get to see and touch the products first hand before paying. 3. Is it easy to start on gmarket? Yes. Set up account, upload pictures, detail sizes & pricing & you're selling already. Can you earn money? Not necessarily. G-market, e-bay and likes are online based open market. Either than pictures, consumers have no way of testing the product and/or affirming the quality. Therefore consumers there are price sensitive apart from the looks of the product. Unless you think you are capable of selling below prices of current sellers there, it would be difficult to earn a lot of money. Furthermore, you need to account that gmarket would be taking a good percentage of your selling as processing fees. |

Much appreciate your info and great help. Are you doing the same business? My critical prob is how and where to find reliable wholeseller and suppliers.... Again... Thanks a lot your reply! |

![]() Nope, not in the same business - apparels but not children. I get my goods from china & Korean manufacturers directly. The way, I won't have lots of shops selling the same kind of stuff are me - or a least I get slight head time as compared to others in design wise. However, that means getting a much larger order than you would have to as compared to ordering from local wholesalers.
It's difficult to get people whose in business to tell you their source for fear of competition in the near future. Even if someone gave me the recommendation, I'd probably think twice about it. What has he to gain by telling me? Reliability can only be gauged by time. Talk to the wholesaler, ask them questions. How frequent do they have new designs, how long before certain designs are phased out (re-orders if proved popular), what are their returns/refund policy Etc. |
