How to be a registered online company?
 

:confused2: Hi,

I'm working but i also want to sell my handmade accessories which i have setup my online store thru blogger.

Recently, I want to sell my stuffs thru pushcarts or flea markets too. But i have no idea how to register as an online registered company.

Can anyone pls give me more details? :o :o :)

If you are doing a small scale business is better not to register online company.Is not really worth it. But you can give a a try. You can try this website on how to register online company.

ooo nonoo need to be registered company before you can sell at fleas, event space.... you can registered under your name... :)

As long as u are carry on a business u should register your business though a lot of people esp online sellers are not doing so. It is actually an offence under the Business Registration Act.

It's is easy to register online, and the annual licence fees is $20.

If u are going ahead to register, do so as a sole proprietor will do. When it comes to income tax submission, declare your employment income as per normal and under the trade or other income (can't remember the categories), declare income /losses from your online business. In the case of a profit, u will be tax under personal tax rate together with your employment income. In the case of a loss, the loss will be offset against your employment income if I'm not mistaken. Keep simple accounts of your sales & business expenses, don't wait till the last minute.

Thx for your reply but we still need to register thru HDB if we are using our house address rite.. is there any more other lisence to apply ?

u may wish to check out HDB's website. I doubt u can use your house address. For those without a business address, they will usually pay a small fees and use one of those registered mailing address eg virtualoffice.com.sg

It depends on the nature of business you are conducting. Check out the HDB website for examples of approve business and non-approve business. You should direct your queries to HDB first on whether your business can be register as a Home Office scheme before you register your business with ACRA.

If the items your sell are all self made, there is no other license needed, but if you import items from overseas to sell (though freight forwarder), than there are additional license needed.
