Customer Claim Did Not Receive an Item, How?

This customer ordered 4 items from me. After I mailed out the items, she claimed she did not receive 1 item (the most expensive product). However, i recalled packing that product before mailing to her. Can someone plse help? :thanx:

frankly speaking, nothing much that you can do. Either you replace it, or you dun. if you dun, your rep might be tarnished. next time you might wanna send by registered mail.

always always mail things to ur customers via REGISTERED MAIL.. in this case you better replace her the product.. if ur customer goes ga ga in any good forum.. and people read it.. thats it you done..!

Hi,

It happened to me once b4 but luckily I told her she should pay 4 registered post but she told me she didnt want it, normal postage will do. Then later she asked 4 the item, dnt know what really happened leh, I just showed the emails and the post office receipt. Done.

Did u tell her b4 and have emails or receipt to prove? If u hav just show her.

best is replaced the item. i got send once thru normal mail, already told customer to opt for registered mail. in the end, that mail really got lost -_-" so no choice lah, i still replace her, but she had to pay for 50% of the item + registered postage

lucky you! for my case, it doesnt really account whether make profit or not, but the time and effort that goes into designing the first piece of jewellery.. and then to duplicate the second piece. sometimes some of the parts are one-piece only, and hence have to ask customer if can replace with other parts

So you mean your customer has received the parcel but 1 of the item is missing? Means she only got 3 items instead of 4? I would suggest you check your balance stock, maybe you did forget to pack in item. In any case, I would replace that item.

Did you mail out using registered mail?

Re: Customer Claim Did Not Receive an Item, How?

You must tell your customers that if they wan to mail by normal mail if lost you wont be held responsible. some of the customer received by normal mail and they can tell you that i never received one of the item and you remember that you had packed it inside. Where is the proof? Please be careful as there is a quite a number of dishonest customers out there..

Hi all,

after all these years in trading online, i find that whatever you sell, you have to get your stuff registered if the margin is less than 30%. It just take 1 article to be lost to cost you 3 sales. this is not worth it at all! and even though you tell your customers that they will be responsible for any misplaced packages, they would simply accuse you that you never sent them in the first place. they will then threaten to badmouth you in forums etc. not really worth it. so i suggest you guys to register the post and have it black and white that you have sent the item.

Re: Customer Claim Did Not Receive an Item, How?

I guess in your case it does not matter if it was sent out by registered post or normal post, because the customer DID receive the package, but only 1 out of 4 items were missing.

Do stocklist checking. I don't know why but I always take a photo of my parcels (with addresses) as proof I wrote the correct address, lest they don't receive the package and don't wanna pay an extra $2-$3 for registered post.

Customers claim they did not receive their items when sellers did sent items to them, most customers bull****, when they receive the item they do not like they said they did not receive.
This type of customers I do not entertain them I rather to let go problematic customers.:tantrum:

I usually take a photo of the normal mail from the post office as evidence and put a clause on my website that normal mail has no tracking number and lose it at their own risk.
