Very Few Events to run
Seems like a quiet month for bazaar, like no events going on and can hardly book a decent place to sell my products.
I am thinking of organising my own event. Any suggestions to locations i can book cheap so everyone here can join hands and organise a happening event to promote our own products and also to do publicity and awareness. Will hotel be a good choice as weather will not affect us but high rental cost. If out door, where you think will be a good place to held bazaar??? feedback to me cause i really wan to run a event on my own instead of depending on lobangs to find a place and sell my stuff |

hotels may be expensive... would depend on the price/type of products you want to sell too, eg recently Club21 had their sales at Hilton
otherwise, may have to opt for cheaper hotels, and they may be quite inconvenient outdoor - i did thought of checking with Far East Organisation if can rent the outdoor space at Far East Square. lots of tourists visiting the area, especially in weekends. also saw another post earlier that someone thot of organising an indoor-fair at Alexandra Technopark area (the fair was later cancelled). |

Re: Very Few Events to run
Where is the location you talking about at Far East Square??? Maybe i go check it out and survey.
And if you have the contacts to the management, maybe can pass to me. We can go in and negotiate with them together. Any other suggestions for location? |

for a cheaper option, you can always check with your neighbourhood CCs. they do have bazaars, just less frequent. But the rates should be much cheaper, as i usually get my tables there for less than $20. Count me in if you do organise any events~!

Re: Very Few Events to run
hi thanks for the CC flea market event update but i seriously do not consider that as a good option for my products as i sell higher end handmade jewelry. Got a company and products image issue here. But i do not mind holding food festival for my other business in such location.

Re: Very Few Events to run
I also think that Bugis would be good but where is a good place to hold??? The grass patch @ tan qwee lan? Bugis junction is out of question as the slots are all full already and too high! we might have to pay $100/day for a 1mX1m table.
For house invitation is not a bad idea but must include food and drinks to attract people with i can provided and sponsor as my mum is a homemade pastry supplier and my bf owns a coffeeshop. But my tiny HDB will be out of question. Anyway to go about it? |

Re: Very Few Events to run
Oh...I've been looking at the rentals of the pushcarts, particularly in Bugis. Rentals are just too high. Was there on last Saturday. The traffic is good but sadly you get more browers then buyers. Weekdays are the worst. I hope these pushcart management companies could relook into their rental scheme. To commit a min of 2 months' rental is quite a hefty sum for small "players" like us especially if you need to get a prime space. Besides, although it's good to share with other vendors, I find it rather inconvenient because you have to re-display your items at every occasion.
