Operating on Footpaths (no pushcart) ?
Hi,
This question may be slightly off-topic. I have seen people standing on footpaths (example: Holland Village, Orchard Road) to sell services like credit cards, insurance or solicit donations for charity. They usually place a vertical banner with a stand next to them to indicate what they are selling. Do they have to pay anyone to do this ? After all, they are operating in public places, not inside a mall. |
Re: Operating on Footpaths (no pushcart) ?
Hello
I think you need to apply for permission from the relevant legal owners of the piece of land you are using for your activity. Anything not owned by private entities is considered government property I guess, in which case you need to apply for permits from the relevant government body? Just my 2 cents worth Cheers |

Thanks. I think your reply is worth a lot more than 2 cents. :)
