![]() Our company planning to start retail business,we decide to sourcing product in China. But I am concerned about products standard, coz one of my friends said he has an unsatisfied experience in China sourcing. China is big world factory, I know to choose the suitable one is a quite difficult job. Therefore, I want to know the way to choose the better China suppliers more effective and directly.
Cheers! |

![]() Have trusted Chinese assisting you, taking big quantities, and building relations with the partners, supervisors and boss of the factories you are scouring from. Provide constant feedback and dont sting on the payment.
Some businessmen keep asking for lower and lower prices, Chinese factories just provide worst quality products or put your order at the lowest priority causing delay after delays. What are you trying to source from there anyway? |

![]() you will need someone based there at 1st. and then after that you will need to keep going back. And you will still have to expect a certain amount of loss.

![]() Hi Nicoletse, what kind of products are you sourcing for your retail business?
Firstly, from my personal experience, 一分钱一分货, something you got to believe in when trading with China suppliers. Secondly, there are actually ways to protect yourself when doing your procurement, such as return policies that you can have when dealing with your supplier. Last, if you have "eyes" or "manpower" in China, of course that would be best. This ensures you get quality goods and accurate orders shipped to Singapore saving you the time and return shipment expenses. Do PM me if you are interested to engage a singapore registered business to handle your procurement from China, I'll be able to provide you more details. |

![]() Uhm... return policies are usually not worth much. The usual response I hear is, *i'll charge you less on the next shipment.* If you suffer a 50-80% breakage rate on that shipment, would you dare to order from the same company again?

![]() Hi Mystech, if you pay for your goods upfront, then it's different story.
Return policies are worth if you do not pay the supplier upfront for the goods you received. I never allow my supplier to tell me such thing like charging me lesser in my next order. I always receive the goods, inspect them, everything ok then pay.. Not okay, no payment to my supplier. I do goods return within 7 days and I get part of my money back for those faulty or wrong orders I received. |

![]() Frinky, I actually have someone over in china to inspect my goods, hence I don't have a problem. And unless you're buying in very small amounts, most usually go by LC, don't they?
