Such polls are really useful for vendors who are considering the venues to do their businesses. Thanks!:applause:

Re: How's Sales @marina Barrage

just came back from there.

as i wasn't the one who contacted the person, i guess there was a small misunderstanding. I thought it was a eco kind of thing, but it came out to be more of a 2n hand flea market thing. mostly clothes and accessories. there are some rather innovative stuff there though, like a guy who was selling something like the old time mr potato head or the girl doing customised tees. Perhaps i was selling the wrong things, but i din managed to break even. :laff:

Crowd wise wasn't bad. they kept coming in batches durring the day. alot of families. some youngsters. organisation wise was good too. when we were there, the tables were up and numbles there. saw some1 moved thoug, not sure why. the sapcing was fine, lots of place for ppl to walk around. the org was quick to return the deposit at the end of the day too.

at this place, at this price, maybe... but only if the concept changes. My items were mostly above 10+, while thoses beside me are selling cloths which are all under 10... as for selling, most likely accessories, as they were my main seller this time round.

hi Mystech what are you selling at there & where's your booth at?The flea market is really more suitable for selling 2nd hand stuffs,i went there sell all 1st hand stuffs are moving so slow most people just pass by see touch ask. They thought are all 2nd hands at there that they expect much cheaper & bargain for very low price. Some thinking is 2nd hands dont even dare to see/buy.Endup i got to keep telling customers that all are new.

Crowds there is but rainning almost the wholeday.Sales at almost cost prices yet could barely cover rental as buying power is slow.Sadly somehow i realise that the organiser is not being honest as there are some people looking for booth space at there for rent &got it at full rental price yet i was offer by the organiser to let go at half the rental price saying that IS the vendors that offer to take over at half the rental which later i realise was not true.On the day itself,my original booth space was occupy by another vendors which how could 2 vendors allocate to the same booth table?Which the organiser claim is the admin errors?

Which i was offer to take a lastmin rectangle table at the far end corner near the toilet?!As my display items needs a standard 3ftx3ft table & i know that vendor. He was easy-going & gentlemen enough to let me use my original booth space.

As originally i was looking for vendors to take over my booth space as i was sick yet when there i realise that there are people looking for booth to rent but cant find space & was charge at full rental when i was offers to let go at half rental price by the organiser??!& on the day 2 vendors was allocated to the same booth when the other vendor actually book last minute? So we can guess roughly why such things as 2 vendors allocate to the same booth could happen?

Lucky i didnt take the offer to let go at half rental space if not i will have make a big lost gana cheated & boiling hot now!Regarding of whether will i take marina barrage again or taking event thru the same organisers i will reconsidered & think twice about it.

Hi secretgarden, once again thank you for buying my things at M.B:)

Regarding the sales at M.B, i agree with secretgarden that the crowd on that day is going for 2nd hand items. From what i see, only vendors selling 2nd hand manage to sell a lot and vendors selling new products can earn a bit or cover rental or loss money, except the vendor that is selling balloon :laff:

I was thinking of clearing my stocks there, my target on that day is cover rental and transportation only but in the end i loss money :(

There is a thing for sure, the restaurant beside the bazaar which took out a table to sell soft drinks hot dog and sandwiches will be smiling as they earn quite a lot from us vendors at the bazaar :laff:

hmm..you quite near my table but i didnt notice much as lots of them selling 2nd hand stuffs & dark without lights & rainning whole day.One of them actually met before at other event while some is thru conversations then realise they from pushcart forum too not really know on sight.I notice you going M.B too but forgot to lookout for you to say hi.

That time thru other topics under forums i thought you going to organise events or something?:)

Dont quite understand what is event displays is it those stuffs needed to setup for a event?:confused2: Ya the sunshades stores was one of those with the best SALES :laff: until it starts rainning. The others are the balloons booth follow by those selling 2nd hand stuffs.I havent open sales yet & my mum already wandering around & spenting $100+ buying from vendors.I'm not doing well either as i'm selling all 1st hand stuffs & all above $10+ .There's 3 little gals looking for accessories earrings at only $0.50??!Dont even know which store is selling so cheap.

I dont know as she buy many stuffs,i think she buy 2 blue hats is that from your store? The lifestyle i'm still considering but dont think will be taking as H1N1 kind of lesser the crowds & GSS kind of affects the sales too.Its a fleamarket too yakw?M.B my 1st kind of disappointed since i'm not selling 2nd hand stuffs.Have u go to the heart market before?

It's not really opposite SMU, but quite near. Exact location is at sculpture square, middle road (Bugis).

The crowd is there but mostly looks for t-shirts.

Yes, Night Festival is an event with lots of performance till 2am which happen once a year only. The normal SMU bazaar is a day event that happen once a month. The organiser for the day and night event is the same. Majority of the vendors are selling lady clothes and accessories.

Re: How's Sales @marina Barrage

Sorry some of u guys did nt do well at this M.B flea. i managed to escape after seeing the theme is "2nd stuffs" or something like that, though that I cant make it as mine are new. When you go for shopping seeing so many people but actually only the sales there will know.

Anyway, been in few fleas, recently I find sometimes it depends on other factors which is I still not so sure what are they. Once I stucked between 2 stalls that sold 2nd T shirts. Surprise, surprise that one is doing much better than the other.(the other sold none). And I still managed to sold some of mine, new and more exp than other stalls.

For 2nd hand T shirts I usually see they prefer $2 T shirts

Hi mystech that was me selling them:yippee: Based on the theme 'Go Green' we would have thought that it would be more of those environmental stuff but hey, we were wrong... well, sales was quite ok as i got a customer who bought $180 worth of goods <--my lucky day?
