Careful Event Organized by YouthBox
 

Just an advice. Recently I participated in a bazaar for $50 excluding chairs at $10 each with organiser YouthBox in Tampines Mall's Open Plaza on Feb21. Total 11-12stalls and I think most of us ended with zero sales.

The cooordination was bad. You asked questions no replies from organiser or either a Yes/No reply through sms. Three days before event, organiser finally bothered to make the first call but was concerned on the payment. During the day itself, nobody knows who is the organiser as he is mostly hiding behind the stage/sound system.

On actual day, no crowd, under hot sun was a frustration. Besides that we have to bear with the noise that created by the YouthBox members. There is a stage and few so called artists (mostly youth) went on and on to sing or repeatedly sang the same few songs. Worse of all, they do not know how to control the sound system and caused annoying screeching sound. It drives us crazy and drove few precious walked in customers away. One guy while browsing my things, complained it was too noisy and walked away.

In my opinion, I find the stall owners like me been rip-off like a sucker. We paid and been made an audience or crowd to the organiser's trial singing performance.

thanks for sharing. i almost joined the event too, but was wondering if anyone really goes up to the top of tampines mall that much (other than GV)
