Hi thanks for your reply!

I m selling fashion watches maybe doing some boxes rental. I have been there
and Talk to the pushcart vendors. As quiet as it is both of them has been there for 1 or 2 years. They mentioned business very bad for most of them but still got to depend on individual product. Do u mind telling me what is the "old bird " selling?

pink, uhm, wait for the old bird to see, if he/she feels like it, i'm sure there will be comments. :D Generally, everything depends on products. Just a few question for you, Just what makes your watch so special that others will buy it? Is there anyway to value add to it? when will your crowd come in? I am there from time to time, cause my workshop is around the area. I notice mostly working class adults there, with school children mobbing the place during the holidays. would that agree with what you observe?

rob, old bird is old bird, not for young bird like me to name. :laff:

Yes mystery, you are right about the crowd. And also angmoos whom dine there in the evening.

My watches can be very competitive in prices. But a lot of factors got to change/improvise/adjust depending on the retail location, crowds n needs.

I guess i'll give this a miss. Take a rest :coffee:

Thanks for ur help!

pink, try consigning your goods there 1st. you earn less, but you also have less risk. I found that its usually the overheads that kill. alternativly, try doing some online marketing, like a blog spot or something 1st. if you wanna go consignment, let me know, I might be able to help.

Thats one way. You just approach the vendors see if they are the boss and if you can work out something with them. I was previously working in a gifts wholesale store, before i switch line. If you want, i can give you a number and you can see if you can work with the boss. Since they already have customer base. Else you can go shop by shop and see if you can consign your goods with them. Both way works. The 2nd way, if you have the time, is better since you get more income. If you're currently working, then working through a wholesaler is better since you are just giving it a try. Or you can try to hire someone to push them for you, although I would think that highly unlikely.

Yupe would be glad to get in touch with him for a range of novelty pouches I will be manufacturing:D Maybe not so for the fashion watches as he can easily access the goods directly from china.
