Hi!

I would like to get NETS/Credit card merchant for the shop. Anyone knows who offers the best rate?

I would like to keep track of the inventory and wonder if there is any costs effective way? Anyone has 2nd hand barcode printer for sale? A new one i asked costs S$700 =.=

Would ordering of label tags like the one used in bestofblogshop. Where can i order?

For nets, you can either call their number or come to their office at Tiong Bahru. One time setup is 500 and you have to negotiate the rate.

For CC, we use Merchant Solution. Free terminal, low rate except for Amex n 3 days clearing time. One time setup fee is also 500. I will PM you the sales contact number tomorrow.

I doubt that barcode printer is reliable + able to handle high usage. It will normally cost you around 2-4k.

what's the rate you got for nets and cc?

for nets i was quoted S$60 per month, $500 deposit and 2 or 3% sales? and a $40 i forget what it is...

for cc, i got S$360 per year charge, free paper, S$500 deposit. 2.5% sales.

I cant really remember , but I think your rate is quite reasonable as well.

Netts will help you more.
Most customers nowadays, use Cards, and Netts, instead of Cash.

Imagine your shop don't allow Netts or CC? the customer only have CC or Netts? How do you do your transaction? Ask him to go to nearest ATM to draw cash?

please clarify. I am going to start a retail outlet, but I've not met or contacted anyone about this.

Yes, it can range from 1-5% depending on your products.

I have a quotation which quotes with an additional 10cent-20cents per transaction depending on card used.

However, it seems like there is no deposit mentioned in the quote.
