Clementi Mall Set to Open in January

Clementi Mall is set to open in January next year, with the National Library Board (NLB), Foodfare and Fairprice Finest as its anchor tenants.

Located at Clementi town centre, the 99-year leasehold property is a six-storey shopping complex with a total of 190,000 sq ft of retail space, including a basement shopping complex and a basement carpark.

The retail complex is owned by CM Domain, a joint venture company by NTUC FairPrice Co-Op, NTUC Income Insurance Co-op and SPH subsidiary Times Properties, which owns most of the shares.

SPH said that the HDB had handed over the mall’s core structure and facade to the management, and fitting-out works will begin soon. This will be completed in two phases, with level one and basement one set to be completed by January next year and levels three to five by March next year.

Upon completion, NLB will occupy about 20,000 sq ft on the fifth level, while Foodfare foodcourt will take up 10,000 sq ft on the fourth floor and 20,000 sq ft will be occupied by Fairprice Finest on basement one.

Clementi Mall will house approximately 144 carpark lots. It will also be linked to Clementi MRT station, and by mid-next year, the first level will be linked to the bus interchange.

Clementi Mall is part of a larger HDB development, which will also yield two 40-storey blocks of 388-unit HDB flats located above the retail podium.
